SOTD May 20, 2017 Blade: Vintage Personna Twinjector Razor: Schick L1 injector Brush: Jayaruh #142 black badger Lather: Country Club Cahaba Blues Post: Witch hazel, Country Club Sweet Water aftershave WTG, touch-up Really smooth shave this morning. Schick L1 with a Personna Twinjector blade. Very efficient, smooth, and comfortable. I'll really enjoy using these blades in various injectors I have. Nice way to begin the weekend. Have a great Saturday!
I've mostly relegated the Feather Weight to the kids' table, but with the Blue Star it provided an impressive performance on my head shave. It took longer than I like to get from DFS to BBS, but I'm inviting it back to sit with the adults. Rockwell on 3 breezed to BBS on the beard. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Let the hipsters enjoy their artisanal stainless steel, a somewhat more aggressive Featherweight would be worth way more than the $20 you could sell one for. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

Thank you Perry. I'll use the FW again in the morning. It's a great little razor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'll freely admit I love the modern stainless razors with their weight and tight tolerances. I will likely get one of the expected stainless razors using the Gem blades. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Do the vintage razors have less then tight tolerances? My experience with some current manufacturers suggests that fingerpointing about tolerances would be wildly disingenuous. As for weight, I understand that adds to some folks' enjoyment of their razors, but the Feather Weight is pretty good evidence how completely unnecessary that is with a GEM blade. Some of my best friends are hipsters, that's cool . I wouldn't kick a BBS-1 out of bed either. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Due to waiting for the GEM Blue Stars and PAL's I went back to my Super Speed for it's blade Focus. Featherweight will be back in the arena next Sunday. Should I lead off with the Blue Stars or the PAL's?

Darwin First shave with my Darwin. Freshly honed blades. I really wish I had used my Tabac instead of the Williams for my first shave. Being this is a wedge I needed more slickness than the Williams can offer. Anyhow the first pass went ok. Passes 2&3 much better. I finished with an irritation free DFS. This razor will be a keeper. Love the wedges. Tom Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
