    I think the Rte 66 Cavvy could work as a potential year-round soap. Well, the next test is to see how it works in humidity.

    In anticipation of Adam selecting the Fili I decided to shave with my Fili today.

    This razor still has the edge from Glen's honing so this is a reference shave to compare my edges too. Already several shaves on this blade but the edge is still very smooth and very sharp. I decided to super size my shave and used a BK12. Everything was spot on, the lather from QCS and lots of it from the BK12 and amazing edge on the razor, all this did was encourage me to go for it and get aggressive with my shave.

    After 4 passes everything felt great and I still had lots o' lather so did a 5th pass WTG. Finished with zero blood and zero irritation and dolphin smooth... an epic shave.

    Great set up with the pink razor! I love shaving with a cup of coffee. Only get to do it on the weekends, which is probably why I like it so much.

    Alum / Thayers/ Bulgari Aqua PSB

    Went back to Stirling and tried Sandpiper. It is suppose to be a spicy scent reminiscent of YSL nuit di L'Homme . Unfortunately to me it smells like a Mary Jane candy. Not sure if the soap pass around box I grabbed the sample from was old or what. I just did not care for it. Lather was excellent.

    Yet Rapira SS was not even close to as good as yesterday. It tugged and had a hard time cutting my stubble. Pushed it for 3.5 passes and a CCS at best.

    Since I was having company, Reached for some Bulgari Aqua post shave Balm.

    As bad as the blade was, I had hardly a hint of heat from the alum. If I was gauging my shaves only on the alum, this would be a 4.5 out of 5 star shave. Too bad the hair left behind said otherwise.

    Blade is gone and replaced with a Rapira Chrome Super Stainless ( red and blue tuck instead or pink and blue and says Chrome on the side). Will see how these work next
