6/8 Torrey MWF synthetic Omega knot I took the Torrey back to 3000/8000 and ended it on the black arkie, very nice shave today. The second go around for the synthetic Omega and it opened nicely on the face with good lather. I picked up few arkies this summer at flea markets plus a Norton Queer Creek. I wore the 8k off my Norton 4/8k combo so I've been playing around with some other stones.

Forcing myself to use something other than The Man From Mayfair. It is difficult to put that one down.
Great two pass shave after a touch up on the diamond pasted strop. No need for a third pass. Best ten bucks I ever spent on this one

After four 'shaveless' days in Lake Tahoe, I returned home late last night and had a great shave this morning with this vintage F. Fenney 'Tally Ho' 7/8" sq. pt. Crown & Crane 'Tobacco Leaf & Amber' soap & balm. Excellent!
Tried a couple of new things last night - with an old standard: Gold Dollar 100 - stropped it on a church bulletin- full color covers - 100 passes on brown followed by 100 passes on sky blue. Then 150 passes on the leather. - Very, very smooth 3 pass shave - BBS! Followed the shave with generic Walmart Witch Hazel splash. SLEPT LIKE A BABY!
