  1. So sorry to hear about your mom, Neal. That and your health have made this a challenging month. We're thinking of you.

  2. Hang in there brother Neal! Spend as much time with her as you're able. She sounds like a tough one so you may have more time with her than the docs predict.

  3. Thank you Jim. It would be hard putting in this setting. It is actually a moss covered boulder the rock garden outside our master bedroom.
  4. Great news on the continued string of good shaves. It is nice when you catch yourself and make a correction before any damage is done.
  5. Beautiful brush, Jason!
  6. Great job on the sticking with the plan. Wise move on the neck. If you don't have to have a near perfect shave for work then I would not get too concerned with the neck.
  7. Great photo Jason. Looks like you are figuring out the injectors. :happy088:
  8. Yep, just got my 100 pack of Astra SPs. I also got a bottle of Lucky Tiger since I've read a bunch of good things about it and the shea butter is a little much for the warmer weather.
  9. Wonderful shave this morning. I really like this razor.

    Razor: Clix Bakelite
    Blade: German Wilkie (4)
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft 22
    Cream: KMF fragrance-free
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

Today's razor is a bakelite Clix which I received as a generous gift from a coworker who found it at a flea market. I don't know which of the various Clix models is which so, suffice it to say that it is the version with a metal three-pin cap and a bakelite baseplate and handle. I've been curious about the wartime bakelite razors for a while (I really want to get one of the bakelite Tech razors one of these days) so I was definitely looking forward to this experience.

First impression- looking at the razor with a blade in it, it appears to have a mild-looking gap and exposure. This is borne out by the actual shave. Overall, I'd say the experience was comparable to shaving with a Tech. Two passes to as near a BBS as I get from any razor.

This one is definitely a keeper. I just wish I knew more about it.

    Cool shot, Clint!
School gets out for us on Friday. And then the busy time for me begins.
I'm glad you are getting along with the injector better, Jason!
