It's a pretty sweet device, it connects to your home wifi, and then you "cast" audio to it from a computer, phone, or tablet. Once you cast the audio to it (works with several music services, I pretty much only use Google music), it connects online directly to the service, and no longer needs you device. You can use other apps, play a game, or turn it off, it won't affect the music, since it's getting the signal straight from the internet. And unlike using bluetooth, every email, text, or shave den notification does not interrupt the tunes, since it's not relying on your device. But you still control it from your device to adjust volume, skip tracks, etc. Not sure how the Bose device works, may be better, I just don't know, and wasn't criticizing, as I look back at my post and realize "oh crap, I hope she doesn't think I'm being critical", was just throwing another option out there.
500 miles today. Not done yet. That's why no posts so far today. Down to Virginia and back. Left at 0630, probably be home 2030. Traffic on I95 is suckie. At the rest stop in Delaware. Talk at y'all later tonight.
Down to 150 lbs and 14.0% body fat (assuming my scale is accurate). At New Years I weighed in at 169 lbs at 19.1%
Just got back from water painting class. Our teacher has been having some health problems; she told us she has been diagnosed with ALS.
Rainy, rainy day. Ate breakfast out this morning. I tried to get the Monday special. The waitress looked at me funny. Turns out Monday is her day off. I also was a day off. Turns out this is Tuesday. The wife and I both just skipped over Monday.
Busy day of making stuff. This morning I repurposed and repainted an old tea tin. It's now a remote control caddy. Later, I bought some vodka and oranges to make a batch of orange cordial.
I'm much better today, man yesterday I had a big time headache. Allergies, sinus pressure and little grandkids running around.
I can't really say, as I've never tried it. Before I took this new job, I had tried my work ipad with my regular Chromecast for Netflix and it worked great. But, thinking further on it, I may see an issue. Generally, the Chromecast devices don't work "naturally" with local content (one potential downside). However, there are other apps available that will do it, I think AllCast is one of them, don't know if it's available in Apple's ecosystem. (yes, quick search shows that it is). How well it works, I don't know. And, unless I get in a car wreck and end up with head trauma, I don't foresee me ever getting an iphone to test it with
I 'd call that more than 'some ' health problems. Sending prayers to her and her loved ones. Verstuurd vanaf mijn 5042D met Tapatalk
