DeHaven #3 and Gillette NDC OC. The Gillette is going to get experimented on. I will be putting a carbon fiber handle on it. Courtesy of @Bookworm. So I was watching this Wade & Butcher on the bay and wasn't really paying attention to it. I got a notification that it was ending and pulled it up. Waited till 15 seconds left and put in a bid, got immediately outbid, I'm thinking by a sniper program. There was still two seconds left so I hit the bid button again, and it ended right after my bid and I won it.
I was hoping this would turn out to be the Rocket HD in gold (not the aluminium one). Seems to be the '49-'54 sadly without the casebut an interesting addition. marked 'made in England' and 'Patent Pending'.
The gun coat felt rough to the touch, but didn't translate to roughness on the face. I really dig mine, it gave a very surprising bbs (for as mild as it is). And that rough, blacked out is totally neat looking.
Snagged these two from an antique store today. Nothing fancy at all. I know nothing about straight razors but the woman threw it in. She wanted $10 for the Flare tip and I said I'd do it if she threw in this straight razor. It has Simmons Hdwe co USA 3 on the blade.
