Tonight's shave was with a Chinese Straight Razor. If I remember correctly, it cost under $5.00 delivered. I had issues with honing this razor, but since corrected the issues. I had a super smooth 2 pass shave, with BBS results. Only some irritation in one small area, due to a Pakistani razor I tried the night before. Properly honed, this razor can go head to head with some of the best razors out there.

The Gold Dollars require modifications and it varies from razor to razor. If you have skills they can made into nice razors. I do not have skills so I bought a modified GD and it looks and shaves great.

It does look nice. Time for me to break out the Dremel, and do some grinding.

Oy. Ask @DaltonGang about them. I gave him two of my four, which were picked up a decade ago.

I meant to ask him about how they are. He doesn't have the address - the ones he has, I passed along. I picked them up years ago at a local store. I have two left.

I'll try to get you a better picture of the box.

They are big, chunky, and rough looking. I don't know how the steel is, on the Double Arrow, because I haven't honed one yet. The scales are unusable, in their present form. These are a 100% project razor. But, before I think about making one into a fun project, I will take the time and see if the steel can take, and hold an edge. I tried honing and shaving with a Pakistani Razor, and found they are only good for letter openers.
