  3. I get the same thoughts from my wife for taking shave pictures! After almost three years, and she still doesn't believe I do it!

  4. You are doing things the right way. Later one you'll be able to pick up different razors and get good results without a lot of drama. Are you in the continental US?

    Blade: GEM carbon
    Razor: Ever Ready 1914 SE
    Brush: JR #142 black badger
    Lather: Soap Commander Fortitude
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Mountain Man aftershave
    WTG, touch up

My focus this month was on SE razors. A pass-around from @twhite fit right in to my focus. Today I tried the Ever Ready 1914 with great results. I used a 1912 the previous couple of shaves and will try a 1924 as well before sending it on. I feel my technique with these types of razors has improved over the month. The shaves overall this month have been smooth and really comfortable. I miss the injectors but feel a lot more confident on the SEs, which is great.

    Enjoy your day!

  8. Have a terrific time, Chris! I also noticed you brought along some Aqua Velva and not the Veg. Perhaps you wondered if TSA would search your bag in thoughts of a biohazard in there?!?

  17. 30 MAYhem 2017 Blade Focus Shave

For today's back to work shave, I broke out the Cella. Using JR#161, in no time flat, I had a fragrant, slick lathering that would have lasted at least 4 passes if I was so inclined. However the Featherweight/PAL combo only needed 2.5 passes to deliver a near BBS shave. I have begun starting my morning shave 10 minutes earlier which has allowed me to do pre that I was only doing on Sunday mornings. I think that is the reason I'm getting more BBS shaves during the week. Since my technique has so vastly improved since joining 30DC, my shave itself is only taking about 8-10 minutes. This leaves plenty of time on the front and back ends for more pre & post. Speaking of post, I splashed on some Cella Lozione Dopobarba and it was off to work.
    Have a great day.

  19. Lovely setup and photo Mark. How does this razor compare to the standard gap Wolfman?
  20. I noticed the same thing with time in the beginning. But as my technique improved the time spent for the entire routine decreased. Now I my entire shave routine including cleaning up and putting things away is down to 10 minutes.
