An old TinderBox pipe this evening, while wondering why anyone would want a Punch bobblehead.

 

One of my favorite morning and/or yard work combos right there. IMO CM is better than CH, but it's been backordered forever, fortunately I bought 4 tubs a while back when they were on sale. I like to add OJK to it for a little extra kick. I also feel burely blends were made for cobs.

 

If you don't speak, they'll assume you're Local.

 

I think pipe polish and furniture polish are one and the same with different labels.

 

I didn't ever want a Punch bobblehead until I saw this...

 

Funny you should say that, two British people asked me for directions to the underground stop. Luckily, I knew the answer.

Actually it was a question about which stop was closest to their destination, but luckily spatial reasoning is a strong suit for me! The public transit here is really good.

I got an unsmoked Alpha Epsilon on eBay. From what I've read the Alpha was an "upscale" line of pipes Grabow produced from about 1998-2000. Since it didn't last long I have to assume it wasn't a commercial success. The Epsilon was the sandblasted finish in the line. I bid low and got it for about $27 with shipping and figured I could trade it in for store credit at smokingpipes.com if I didn't like the looks of it when I got it. I liked it though and it has an acrylic stem which was another plus in my book. I decided to christen it with a new tin of 2017 Christmas Cheer.

 

Wait your crack a 2017 and it's not Christmas yet? I have several tins in the cellar (along with 2016 and the new 40th Anniversary, which is fantastic BTW even fresh, can't wait for it when it ages!). Will crack a 2016 this holiday season. Congrats on the new pipe!

I received one back when they did their IPSD Redo sale in their "goody bag". It is worth the price I paid which was free, meaning not that good. Won't pass a cleaner. I use it for a knock around pipe in vehicle. I wouldn't buy one no matter how cheap, get a MM cob or two instead IMO.
