Both are excellent razors and you will get great shaves from them.

Got it. I couldn't read the lid from the photo. Probably my eyes.

Since the work schedule got mixed up, today was my goof off day. We went to Ritter Sport Chocolate

Next on the list was to go find shaving gear. Finding hardware vendors in the part Germany I am in is difficult...they are here but brick and mortars selling razors at a good price are far and few between.
We did find a place (Der gepflegte Mann)that is similar to places like West Coast Shaving, Shave Nation and others where the primary method is internet orders. This was a typical warehouse in the back and desks full of specialists that fielded calls for beauty supplies, salons, barbers and regular folk like me. It was advertised as an online store ONLY.

    After talking with Christian [IMG]
I was told I could order online and come back in 30 minutes to pick up if I pay in cash. Between my broken German and his excellent English I settled on these soaps for right around €65.
These were all soaps I wanted to try but hesitated because I didn't know the scent.
[IMG]He had about 185 other soaps to try but I picked these off their site. There was a Hans Bair SR for €59
[IMG]but I didn't pull the trigger on it.
I enjoyed the experience of the hunt on the German economy.

What a haul! Sorry to hear you couldn't find hardware. Any antique shops?

No antique stores. There was a second-hand store but no razors

Today's haul brought commitment, Soap Commander commitment that is. Pics in tomorrows sotd. 20170607_131544_resized.jpg
Commitment smells amazing. Can't put it down. It smells so nice, I may order the bath soap. I want to immerse myself in this aroma.
I got a hand written thank you note and a sample of confidence (another fine scent). Soap Commander is a class act for sure.

Oh by the way, Rod included a sample of the Electric Sheep bath soap which smells just like its the shaving soap version - delicious!

The SDM smells awesome, the Gin and Tonic OTR smells delightful and the two Glacial Spearmint bath soaps are giving the house a beautiful smell!

@Bama Samurai please review the TOBS brush when you get a chance. It looks like their size 2 super badger. Great looking brush!

Picked up this little fella at a local Church thrift store. I was dropping off a donation and I asked the volunteer fella if they ever got any old shaving stuff. He said no, but we started talking and I was telling him that I use a different safety razor every day. He said he might have one from a farmhouse he renovated a few years ago. I gave him my number and told him to give me a call if he found it and wanted to get rid of it. He called me a few days later and said he found and he was at work. I dropped in and he gave me a F4 FatBoy. No money changed hands, but I think I will go back and make a donation to the charity. The head is a little cruddy, but aren't they all. The paint is wore off the numbers, but it looks like it will clean up nicely. Have a blessed day gentlemen.
