Two new soaps from Grooming Dept. One of the top five if not 3 vegan soap makers I have tried so far.


Scent Notes: Petitgrain, Lime, Litsea Cubeba, Lavender, Benzoin, Oakmoss, Patchouli

Lime is bold here, it’s a fresh assertive lime The Petitgrain takes off some of the lime’s edge and adds a green woody note. One could almost feel like touching the twigs and leaves of an orange tree.


Bonum Mane is a refreshing blend of Lemongrass, Lavender, Mandarin, Geranium, Ylang Ylang, Juniper Berry, Patchouli Essential Oils and a hint of clean musk.

 

Well I couldn't leave well enough alone.

Just when I got rid of all my inventory from the Daytona fund raiser.. I was asked if I had any slims, fatboys etc.. lol that's all that was needed for me to start a buying binge! Again most are not mine, I think 4 of those are mine.

Just received an email from Derek of WildWestBrushworks that my two custom brushes are ready to be shipped. Both are 26mm x 17mm deep. Red one will have a Romera Manchurian and the blue one will have a Tuxedo or Romera overstuffed Silvertip.

 

Love that two tone red one.

All from China I think. Not that there is anything wrong with that. All the good Badger fur comes from there, so why not the synths. I know the one you set in the White Queen works well and feels good, too.

 

You may be correct there. Although I can get them fro Maggards in about three days compared to three to four weeks from China.

I think @gorgo2 located the correct color red finger nail polish to do touch-ups on Red Tips. Family Tree Dollar General Store! Umm, no that's not it.
Try it with a Feather Hi-Stainless, but don't quite lock the knob all the way down. It leaves the blade just right for maximum aggression.

 

Hoooot damn. those are some awesome handles. Can't wait to see the knots in them!

 

Thanks, I wouldn't have thought of nail polish, but that sounds like a great idea. I keep forgetting you can adjust the aggression through tension on the knob. Do you know the thread he spoke of the shade or maybe I'll just eyeball it. I was a little bummed to see it was missing the caps, but then I thought "at least it's both and that makes it unique (like me). I thought about replacing the caps if I like how it shaves, but the more I think about, I may leave them off like my missing hair.

 

Found it!

 

The closest you can get to the original red tip color ( according to razor emporium ) is a spray paint by Rustoleum called Satin Closet Wine. You can find it at Home Depot

 

Nail polish is a good alternative, it is long lasting. But what I like about the spray, you can bake it on in your oven or toaster oven.
