  1. I saw your photo and I thought: another Samurai user. I like the gray scales on yours. I liked mine the first time I used it and I've liked it more each time. I had an awesome shave with it last night.
  2. I thought the same thing.

  5. Yesterday I said goodbye to the 3 PannaCrema Nuavia soaps in the B&B passaround. Sad day. However it was somewhat offset by the fact that I got 3 Tubs of Catie's Bubbles in the mail today. I think Waterlyptus may be my all time favorite scent of all time! Also, Piment De La Vie is the closest in terms of the scent being in the same family as the PCN type of fragrance. Not as complex or fragrant, but similar idea. Kind of like telling a pickup driver that if you drive a Honda Accord you'll know more what it feels like to drive a Mercedes Sedan. Not exactly, but its a lot closer to the Mercedes than the truck. At some point I'll get my eyeballs above all the alligators to take the occasional picture and share like a normal person.
  6. The Shark SC works realllly good in my '52 Super Speed Black Tip.
  7. Very much looking forwatd to seeing it. They are top of the line whisker destroyers!!
  8. June 8 - More B&M
    Merkur 34C
    Voskhod (day 1)
    Dark Chocolate (JR #148)
    DIY PSO
    Barrister & Mann Cologne Russe
    Alum/Thayers/AOS PSB

Today I swapped in a new Voskhod since the Astra SP was done. If pushed I could have gotten more by why push it. Also today was my first usage of B&M Cologne Russe. B&M lists the scent as
. Not sure I know what petitgrain smells like but to me, I smell mostly the florals and a scent that I can only describe as when I remove the begonias from the flowerbeds in fall. It is an earthy, slightly tangy scent to me. I am sure I am completely messing up this scent description so bear with me a bit :). This soap also finished with a bright vanilla finish or undertone. For me, I had a hard time smelling the lemon and bergamot. I am sure they are there tying everything together. In all, it was a nice scent with good complexity. There was no hint of darkness or heavy scent. It was nicely balanced. Lather was beautiful! Thick, cushiony and slick and made the 3.5 passes to a BBS seem effortless. Voskhod worked better than the last time I used one. Could be the last one was damaged or had an issue. Alum was tingly to mild sting at best. In all, very good shave with an excellent soap.

    Up next, B&M 42...
  9. I was called in on very short notice for a day shift today. It was time for one of the half day shaves. I already had the Super Max menthol lined up with the grey flannel AS that @MR41 sent as s shavee prize. This is a top rate cream!!! I lathered it easily for a one pass and witch hazel clean up with a Schick G. Feeling awesome about the shave and smelling Great!!!! Tomorrow will be an open blade shave.
  10. Razor: Portland Razor Co Chimera
    Strop: Drygulch 45
    Brush Handle: 30DC LE
    Knot: APShaveCo Cashmere
    Soap: Mike's Hungarian Lavender
    Post Care: Thayers Witch Hazel
    Alum
    Osage Rub
Aftershave: Chatillon Lux Champs de Lavande

Wonderful shave this morning with several new products. First off, this brush is wonderful. It's beautiful, feels great in the hand and the knot is crazy soft. I also now understand why Mike's is a difficult soap to get; great lather, protection and scent. Finally the Chatillon Lux, as close to perfect as an AS gets. It was a fantastic way to start my day. Have a great day folks![IMG]
  11. June 8, 2017- SuperSpeed Focus

    Razor: 48-49 NDC Gillette Milord
    Blade: German Wilkie (3)
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft 22
    Cream: KMF fragrance-free
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

I missed posting yesterday, but not really a lot to say. Two great shaves from an almost 70-year old classic razor. Tomorrow will likely finish up the Milord with Saturday going to the Fatboy for a changeup. I'm considering skipping the Black-Tip SS and going straight to the 58 TV Special next.
  12. Thank you, Clint! We just got back home. It is nice to see the kids again.
  13. I love the Black and White picture. Looks great!
  14. Beautiful brush, Brian.
  15. Great picture, Mark!

    Razorock Plissoft Brush
    Palmolive Classic Shave Stick
    Gillette Diplomat
    Voskhod (6)
    Stirling Unscented PSB
    Adidas Dynamic Pulse AS

I think I mistakenly listed yesterday's shave as number 4 on this blade. It was actually 5, and so today was shave 6. The blade is still going strong, and I got a DFS on two quick passes. I was in a hurry as I had to get toe LAX through LA traffic. This razor is a good one for situations like this, and I was able to zip through the shave. Back at home for a few days, which is nice. I hope everyone is having a great day!
