  1. That is good news. I am sure that she would be quite entertained if you read TSD threads aloud to her.

  2. Fantastic brush, Mark!
  3. Looks like a 65 Flair tip. I think those a real really under-appreciated razors. They are great shavers and so easy going.
  4. I agree. I have a '66 flair tip and it is one of my favorites. Shaves "like buttah"! A little scrubbing bubbles, and a five minute polish, and that baby will be gleaming!
  5. Nice line up! Two more and you'll have one week rotation. Then a rack to store them...

  6. Get the underside of the base plate cleaned & fine a capital letter, a number. Gillette codes for year and quarter. Good score!
Price on the Fatboy is full eBay retail. Keep looking and you may spot on for $20 or less without the case.

  10. Thank you Jared. She seems to be doing much better today after a somewhat rocky start this morning.

Thank you Jim. I think everything will be better later today. I like the looks of the razor but I like the way it shaves much better.

  13. I don't know if @Fup or @LevelupShaves have been following the Shavey thread, but in a surprise last minute twist, both have been awarded "best new artist" Shaveys. Still several great prizes listed on the second to last page of the Shavey thread. PM me with your picks, gentlemen! And congrats!
  14. Thanks Jim! :happy088:

  17. I can see a K under the "Reg U.S." and a 1 on the opposite side if those are what you are referring to.

  19. June 10 - going into the wife's stash again.

    Merkur 34C
    Voskhod (day 3)
    The Phoenix Silvertip Badger brush
    DIY PSO
    B&M Latha Limon
    Alum/Thayers/AOS PSB

Today I raided my wife's soaps and grabbed her B&M Latha Limon. 15 second load with a damp brush yielded an excellent thick lather. For a soap that is supposed to be a minimalist line, this is still top notch. It was barely less slick than the glissant line and remained thick and cushiony. The soap has a wonderful lemon scent with a touch of orange to follow. The hint of rose scent takes a little of the tartness off but not all of it. This is like a tart lemon meringue scent with little sweetness. It has some but just the perfect amount to work great with the tartness. Excellent soap

Voskhod on day 3 is showing wear and only yielded a CCS after 3 passes and some touch up. Against the grain I heard the Velcro sound but subsequent buffing passes showed it was still there. After a while I gave up and wanted to avoid becoming irritated.

Alum was tingly on the neck only and rarely stinging.

I would recommend anyone looking for a top soap to think about B&M Latha line. From this shave , it is worth much more than what they charge.

By the way, this loading was enough for my 3+ passes and still had enough for my wife to do her legs. She loved the scent as well and loved the way her legs felt afterwards. There was still a pass or so left when she was done. I could have loaded much less making this soap even more economical.
  20. Agree! I absolutely LOVE the B&M Latha line!
