  1. Random Dial Newbie Blindfolded Feather Shave would be a very bad idea, and a great Youtube series.
  2. SOTD June 12, 2016

    Blade: Personna Twinjector
    Razor: Schick L1 injector
    Brush: Omega Hi synthetic
    Lather: Stirling Iced Pineapple
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Iced Pineapple aftershave
    WTG, touch up

Very nice shave with Stirling Iced Pineapple this evening. I switched out the Twinjector after the first pass and before the clean up. I think that was three or four shaves on that blade. The new one felt nice and smooth. Overall enjoyable shave.

    Have a great evening!

  3. Awesome pic of brushes totally ruined by those @*(%&(*@() carts below them. That's ok. I'll focus on the brushes.
  4. They now have the double coated Stainless blade - the Titan. I think it's in the vat behind Duff Lite.
  5. Just whisper in his ear,

    Trials and Tribulations

    June 12

    Razor - 1962 (H1) Gillette Slim (6)
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Soap - Arko
    Brush - WCS Synthetic
    Post - Alum

Second night on the Titanium and the razor is in my "normal" setting. The 6 setting seems to work best for me when I'm just shaving to shave, so it makes it an even better stop between 3 and 9 on the trial shaves. Lather was good, and the blade was smooth and comfortable. I'm still watching for a reaction to the coating and so far, other than a bit warmer alum than I expected, nothing is happening. Two passes and touch up and I'm near-BBS. Oh what the heck, the baby is in the house. I'm not going to nit pick a shave this good. Another Super-Max on its way to an awesome three shave run.

I finally found another explanation for the origin of my CT today. The newest Bloom County Sunday strip sheds more light on the origin of the sound. It's always been attributed to Bill the Cat hacking up hairballs (he is a dead cat, they have a harder time with it) but there seems to be a new theory of origin. Some of you who are around my age will recognize the "extra player" in this strip. For those unfamiliar with the wonders of Bloom County, the gentlemen in the final scene is none other than Steve Dallas. Slimy ambulance chasing, skirt chasing, hard drinking all around scumbag attorney. In other words, he handled my last divorce.

  7. I would subscribe to that.

It should be ok to use the real words sometimes.

Tapatalk is frustrating me tonight so I'll keep to the facts. Great soap + brush = wonderful lather. The steel behaved & beard was reduced without incident. Quiet Alum and good vintage stink.

  13. Whaddya mean, thanks to the cameras? They did it with just a bunch of buddies every time they got together for a meat carbonization and drinking festival!. (BBQ, for those not familiar with the south)
  14. WOOO!
  15. Yeah, but the whole world couldn't watch the dreadful denouement over and over and over until the proliferation of cellphone video cameras in every idiot's pockets and Youtube upload capability for every yahoo...

  20. I an really digging the 30DC brush. The only other synthentic knot I have tried is the ACE in my JR #136. There is no way to compare the two except to say the JR is headed for a reknot soon. I am also digging the Boots shave stick. It is an awesome addition to my cave. It is kinda like my LEA or BEA sticks but smells better. Nothing new to add about the 1910 Gem Junior Bar. They just plain rock. The special reserve finished it all off nicely.
