1. I've had good luck with Lab Blues, the Israeli Peronnas, Voskhods and the various Rapira blades. Lately I've been using more of the Lab Blues because I still have a lot of them and running low on Russian blades.

Wow! What a fantastic shave I had this morning. I love everything about this soap; the scent is amazing, kind of a spicy floral, it's very slick once the water is dialed in (slightly thirsty) and has a great post shave feel. The 30DC brush did a great job lathering up this incredible soap and the Chimera slid through a couple days of growth. Have a great day folks!

  6. 1931-32 silver Wardonia with modified Astra blade did a great job on my beard. Very aggressive but easily manageable. Too much blade chatter to go ATG on my head, the Blue Star equipped 1912 finished the head shave (and reaffirmed my preference for the carbons).[IMG]

  16. This is some amazing shave soap. Some say it is over price, but I would call it good value. Beautiful bowl and over 6 ounces of soap.

  18. Thanks. I find it works very well with the Tabac soap and is a great pairing. I wanted to get something from Germany and did not have the time to hunt down something more unique. I did not really want another soap anyways and already have a number of razors on the list to try/purchase including a Charcoal head to match the Tritium handle I just purchased, so I kept it simple and with the classics. I really enjoy 4711.

  19. Thank you for the kind words. I really like Mayflower and especially the cooling AS. I must say, this is one sample that I would like to get the full product for. Very enjoyable.

  20. Today's shave was with a German NOS razor, I rarely use. It takes a wickedly sharp edge, and provided a 2 pass BBS shave. No Nicks, Cuts, or Weepers.
