As you can see, the razors are completely different. In size, weight and design. They shave different as well. To me the aristocrat is smoother.

From what I read, they are the same razors, and the only difference was the case that they were sold in. I believe the Aristocrat was more common.

 

Gillette did that to some of their razors. All depends on what case it's in decides what the razor model it is.

 

Nice find. Ive been told multiple times I need to test a red tip. Its on my short list of things that if I run across it Ill grab it.

There was a listing on the bay for two vintage Gillette razors for $30, with no other details other than a quick description of the condition, which could be seen in the photos. Both look pretty filthy and tarnished. One is an old type with a very minor crack at the ball end of the handle. The other looks to be a Goodwill #164 with a slightly longer crack near the cap end of the handle. I figured if that is a #164 I'll take my chances that I can clean them up, so I offered $20 and the seller accepted.

 

Been there, done that. I managed to mix up Everready and Eversharp.

 

Waiting on these 2...

 

Saw a straight that said Everyday. Wasnt sure if it was a model or brand.

I usually do the same but I wanted to test the blade soap combo and did back to back and they passes with flying colors.

just purchased 1953 canadian tech in military type case nos.pricey, but worth it to me.should satisfy my rad for a while..
