    Have a great day Charlie!
  6. Thank you Jim & Charlie.
  7. No it is the $30 refill placed in a wood bowl my wife gave me as gift. I just could not bring myself to spend the money for the C&S aluminum dish.

Day 6 with the Jr focus, day 2 with the Sharp Star. A great lather with a great smelling soap. I have neck irritation again. It just itches like crazy. Not shave-related as it is not that type of irritation and it was worst last night 16 hours after shaving. No changes to laundry, so I believe it is food-related or environmental. I did limit myself to 2 passes on my neck. Shaving doesn't make it worse per se, but I don't want my neck skin any rawer than it has to be. I'd call it BBS on face, CCS on neck. Does that average to a DFS? Whatever.
First use of a Chatillon Lux aftershave this morning. I ordered two of these aftershaves with an order that came in Tuesday that also included the Reserve Cool soap, a Stirling Glacial balm and a Port-o-Prince SS sample. This AS is quite different for me. A very unique scent and it has a bit of tackiness on the skin. Different for an alcohol splash, I think. Better reviews to be had later, it has only been on for about 1/2 an hour.
    Have a great day all!

22 June 2017 Blade Focus Shave
Got a text at 0430 from my son saying he was on his way. Since I couldn't go back to sleep, I woke up the dog and took him for a walk. When I got back, I decided on a "barbershop" shave. Broke out the Catie's Bubbles "Tonsorial Parlour" and JR#161. Sixty seconds on the soap and another ninety in the bowl and I had a fantastic smelling, slick, shiny lather. Wielding the Krona/Shark combo, 2.5 passes of shaving excellence ensued. Alum block was a little tingly on my lower neck, but it wasn't anything that the Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer couldn't handle. Splashed on the Clubman, buffed up my boots and shield, pressed my uni.
Had a double espresso to kick start my day and crossed off the first day on the deployment calendar. Have a good 'un folks.

Love the photo, Jim. The Rocket is a real stand out! Also intrigued by the Two Girls Florida Water, I will have to do some research.
There was a video out not too long ago that recommended a little dab of Desitin to help with neck irritation.

  16. I believe I have a winning combination for summer soap/AS, that being my Fields&Streams soap by Local Gent Shave Co. &Marshlands A..S.(by L&L Grooming via Maggards). I think tomorrow is going to be humid here, so I'll try this combo then(as I have in the past, like today). . I hope(and trust)it will "cool things off". See my SOTD for tomorrow.
