I'm hoping to hit an antique mall or two tomorrow or sunday, just to relax a bit, and I'm planning on looking for what @twhite wants.

My daughter is turning 10 and she's asked for a Cooper Monobilt, Barby Floating Head, or a nice thick handled Leresche. Just thought I'd mention it.

Leresche is probably outside of my price range - all of the ones I've seen are pretty expensive. Hadn't even heard of a cooper Monobilt until now.

As for a Barbasol floating head - if I get one, I'd probably be willing to pass it along, but it'd get tried first!

I have a barbasol and it's not all that.

Quite probably. But I'd like to find out! I need to get a couple of blades in the mail to @twhite. See if he can hone the old stainless steel Ronson blade, so I can try that once before putting it up for someone else here to actually enjoy and possibly put on display.

There are a lot out there in the $50 range but tend to be the less desirable ones.The in demand ones do indeed require large dollars.

That razor is awesome looking but the whole honing a wedge is daunting.

I don't think you'll find the Diplomat any different than the model 2 but you (and Tom) are certainly welcome to try it out if you like.

That is one gorgeous razor! Art and function both are so we'll represented in vintage razors. What a classic example of both in that razor.

It was a marvelous time for American industrial design, and the DeHaven is a great example of what beautiful tools are out there beyond the world of Gillette.
