Today's shave was with one of the thinnest, and sharpest blades I own. I had a very smooth 2 pass, noisy shave. This left me BBS with zero issues. Excellent Razor. Gillette 1943 WWII Army Tech Razor Treet Platinum Blade Frank Shaving Synthetic/? Handle Brush (restored) Love My Skin Hawaiian Sandalwood Soap Dickinson's Witch Hazel Aqua Velva Musk After Shave Second time using this blade, and I must admit, I was a little surprised by it's performance with this razor. It actually shaved smoother and better than with the Fatboy. I did my two passes and my touch up was just one small spot under my chin for an excellent BBS shave.

Thursday's Shave Nivea Men Face Wash Williams Shaving Soap Jayaruh #195 Gillette 195 Personna Super CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayer's Lemon WH Lucky Tiger The Williams Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #195 synthetic brush. I did the two passes with the Gillette 195 razor and Personna Super blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
New soap today - Ogallala Bay Rum. Put it in a one cup size glass storage container (has a plastic lid). I love bay rums in general and this one is right up there - very nice scent and lathered great. It does have a hint of orange which gives it another dimension - I like it. Rest of the set up was my new Merkur Futur razor with Nacet blade, SOC boar, Captain's Choice bowl (not in photo), Nivea balm and finished with Captain's Choice Bay Rum after shave (very strong bay rum scent). All in all - a most excellent shave.
A+, already nBBS at two passes but hate to waste the lather kind of shave. Shovelhead/Blue Star is capable of the best shave I get from any razor, but depends entirely on blade QC. Good one today. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Well, that was a frustrating shave. Second time out with my kamisori and I decided not to contort myself in order to keep the stamp (Omote) side facing out. However, I couldn't get as close a shave as I'd like. Even after 4 passes I ended up with a DFS. I may have to give it a serious refresh. I'm wondering if I damaged the edge somehow.
