Great looking set up. Ive got both the soap and aftershave but never thought to try them together.

I ended up not shaving today, but I'm seeing a good bit of Williams Wednesday posts. I may have to join in! I want to master the Williams as @twhite has mentioned. It's a finicky soap. The last two uses have been pretty solid, though, and some more experimentation will continue to make improvements.

    Great bowl, Doug! ;)
I ordered a bottle of Black Tea splash this afternoon. Looking forward to trying it out! Great photo.

    Razor - 1959 (E4) Gillette Fatboy (3)
    Blade - [IMG] (1)
Soap - Route 66 Sweeney Todd
    Brush - Jayaruh #46
    Post - Alum

Staying in India and with a Malhotra blade in the Laser Super Platinum. A small adjustment to my trial routine - I'm going to rotate through some soaps other than Arko. Yes, yes, I know the variation makes it a bit less reliable on consistency, but I feel like as long as the lather is quality it shouldn't throw off results enough to matter. If I sense the lather is a problem I'll do a re-shave with Arko to verify. As I've said, I love Arko. One of the best, especially at the price point. My senses are demanding a little more variety and I'm giving in a bit. So, It's the R66 Sweeney Todd tonight and it was a welcome change and really great feel and scent to take on the Laser blade. The JR46 brush appreciated the change of pace as well!

As for the blade, I'm underwhelmed. Certainly smooth, but not a sharp blade compared to others so the mild setting left something to be desired. Managed a decent DFS but nothing special in 2 1/2 passes. We'll hope it improves as the settings go higher.

    SHAVE OF THE DAY
    20170629_000628.jpg

    Prep: Musgo Real Orange Amber
    Razor: Gillette Tech Fat Handle
    Blade: Croma (1st shave)
    Brush: Maggard 24mm synthetic
    Soap: Tiki Time Traveler
Post: PAA Olive Branch A/S, Lucky Tiger

Had a nice shave this morning. The scent of Time Traveler is unique to say the least, strong scent of beer with maybe some pachouli and other notes, but strong beer scent that smells nice. Whipped up a creamy lather and finished with a clean smooth shave. Olive Branch for today's scent, white chocolate, oud and another complex scent. Hope everyone enjoyed your shave!

The bowl method has not worked out for me. Face lathering is best, shave stick style is next in my case.

    LAST NIGHTS SHAVE

    Razor: Razorock Mission
    Blade: Derby Extra
    Soap: VDH Luxury
    Brush: VDH Boar
    Post Shave: Cocoa Butter Lotion

Absolutely amazing shave last night. While I don't like Derby Extra blades in my milder razors, they work great in my Mission. And I have really come to enjoy VDH Luxury soap. If anyone has similar soaps they can recommend for me, I would greatly appreciated !!!
