  4. Great looking photo as well as a great looking shave, Doug! That nuavia bleu is good stuff!
  5. Well done @LevelupShaves! That was a master class in focus, and tremendous progress and learning in a very short time. Credit where credit is due - thanks to the guys in the 30 DC who came up with and preach the 30 day rule/focus concept. I've converted a few guys to DE shaving and it's a game changer for all who do it!

  6. :thanks: your right is great stuff.
  7. Work has been keeping me out of here. I gotta talk to the Lt about that. So to catch up here for the last of June. This month I not touch a DE. It was a all SE and Injector with a touch of shavette. I PIf'd my straights and most of the DE stuff goes next. No shave for the last day of the month.
Great pic of the young Master, If you did not notice he is wchnu already. BULLY!!!

That Bismark is a favorite of mine to see. Bonus points for the Special Reserve on first shave for Granpaw.

The body let you know it is getting older at times. Bonus points for working with the kids!!!!

I am late to this. Glad it went well. I had a malignant melanoma cut out several years ago. I remember how it was,. Take care !!!!

You have simply done a great job there. Speak up if there are any razors you want to try next.

Well said good Sir. Technique rules.

  10. That is one of the DE razors I am keeping. I have one that was probably my Dad's.
  11. '71 SA-109. $1
  12. Not sure what year mine is. My Mom had it and a lady Gillette in the bathroom when I first started shaving. Taught myself to use them

This is a Super Speed, but the number/letter combo will be on the bottom of the SA too.
  14. Fuzzy, here's the base plate of my '71:

  15. What about the other side bottom view? Might be the quarter number there?
  16. Year letter on left, quarter number on the right. The '71 was supposed to be "Q", but the stamp looked too much like "O" so Gillette went to "R" for 1971. Apparently from what I've read, when they switched over instead of the quarter number, another "R" got stamped on the base plates.

  17. Of course they did. That's my birth year and why wouldn't they mess it up :)
  18. Love he collages
