Thank you Doug. The photo was taken on the wet bar counter top. I just couldn't help myself and had to celebrate Friday.
A frozen face feels so damned nice on a hot, humid morning - it's around 84 right now outside and it feels like a steam bath, but after this fabulous three pass BBS shave with the Glacial MITA soap and the Alcolado Glacial menthol splash, my face feels like it was wrapped in ice!
Sat. 7/1/17 A truly excellent shave this morning with the PAL Adjustable. This razor can shave gents. Have a wonderful day and Enjoy your holiday!
Saturday, July 1, 2017 Simpson Chubby 2 Synthetic 'Los Tres Amigos' Route 66 Sweeney Todd Colonial Razors 'The General' Feather Pro Super Fine L'Orange Noir Terre D'Hermes
Saturday shave: Prep-Nivea 4 Men Bodywash(Platinum Protect)in shower Shave-Fields&Streams Soap(by Local Gent Shaving Co.)* Brush-"lil brudder" (by Stirling) A.S.-Marshlands (by L&L Grooming, via MaggardRazors). *I should have used this yesterday. The Rte66 is great, but Cavendish is the wrong scent for me in humidity. High Mtn. Mist(or whatever that one is called)could be better. Just by the name, it could be a similar feel to Fields&Streams.
SOTD: Vintage Sheffield 6/8" '3415' razor with an odd single-sided fuller blade from Joseph Smith & Sons (1850-1870). I cant speak to the validity of the 'Diamond Edge' claim nor the benefit of the fuller, but this old razor does take a scary-sharp edge, toe to heel. Mitchell's Wool Fat, Omega boar brush, Wm. Neumann & Co 'Heartwood' aftershave balm. Happy July and have a blessed Saturday, gents!
