Vintage Sheffield 'Celebrated 3415' razor with the odd single-side fuller 6/8" blade from Joseph Smith & Sons (1850-70). Scary-sharp broad beveled razor....
5/8 Ivory and MOP Keen Kutter MWF (in Tabac container) Simpsons Manchurian Excellent shave this morning. Very nice shaving razor but it's got a bit of viper in it. If you screw up, it's going to bite you. Anyway, it treated me right today. Have a good one.
Filiarminica and Phoenix Sandalwood Since I was priming the house I figured some Sandalwood would go well with primer and caulk Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tonight's shave was with a freshly acquired, restored, and honed razor. I had a fantastically silent and smooth 2 pass shave, with zero issues. I like the way these old cast steel razors shave. This is the second razor, I brought along while staying at the lake. The Challenge Cutlery always gives up a close, comfortable shave.
It was time to use my Case Temperite razor. With the heat this morning, the Stirling glacial lemon chill and the knock off Skin Bracer sure felt cool. 40 passes on my Drygulch strop and I was ready for three passes on my face. I'm BBS!
Used my best razor today: Theirs Issard "Sheep and Wolf." There's no particularly interesting story, but of all the razors I have, this one came out of the box and giving a much better shave than the others without honing. If fact, I've never honed it because I'm afraid I'll make it worse.
Today I made a two pass shave with my clauss spike. I was going for three, but I was finished in two. Very close to bbs. I'm amazed at how technique makes leaps and bounds by taking a break and returning to something.
