Herm, I have an E2 and find it more aggressive than my G model. I like both, but my E2 gives better shaves than the G. Using a light touch is the key.

Mon 3rd July Alu Hawk +S/S Handle & Schick Proline Type P [ 8 ] The extra weight of the S/S handle makes it work for me. Lots of blade feel during the Shave, reminding you not too rush. Really enjoyed the challenge of the Shave with this Razor, compared with the easier Shaves with the likes of the General.
Razor: AlumiGoose V1 w/Hempel Titanium handle Blade: Feather (3) Brush: TSD 30DC LE w/ LS (MS) Two Band Soap: Route 66 Bay Lime Twist A/S: Pinaud Musk Bowl: Boise Mudworks Blue The Route 66 Bay Lime Twist is a delightful synergy of pure East Indian Bay brightened with a generous twist of lime, mingled with ginger and supporting notes of lemon, lily, and grapefruit. It is a handcrafted traditional shaving soap formulated for long lasting, slick lather, with a protective cushion and glide soothing post shave conditioning. I highly recommend this soap. The scent really fills the bathroom when opened. I had a great 3 pass with a slight touch up for a BBS shave this evening. The 30DC LE handle fits my hand perfectly.
I think the debate of the E types vs G types, depends on the specific razors...I've had several E's that all shaved deferently... Maybe "in general" an E2 is usually a tad more aggressive than the G types an a tad smoother aswell... But, I shaved with a ton of different G types...all with the same head...and each one shaved differently... If we were comparing NOS never out of the box examples...maybe we could make general comparisons...
In my experience, most Gs feel like most Es. The early E2 with the swiveling spring, however, of which I have two, is notably more aggressive on my face than my other Es and Gs.
I don't know, I never met a G I really liked. Not as smooth or good handling as the I , not as efficient as the E(2), a nine year twiddling of thumbs on Eversharp's part in my book, I sold em all. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
I agree on the Es feeling more aggressive. I am thinking that years or twisting and such loading blades can change a razor. The early E2 is the only E I have tried. I agree with the face feel on it.
I like playing guitars. I have played a lot of guitars. I have gone into a music store with a dozen or more guitars that were the same guitar. They were all brand new. They all played differently and some times one would speak to me. It does seem to matter in that since but in another when I pick up a Les Paul although it is different from everyone I have played before, whether use or new,it still sounds like a Les Paul to me. IMHO
Second shave on the 1902 Star was just as awesome as the first. I listened more to her tonight though. While there is a voice there it is quiter then a 1910 or something like a Dammy. More refined perhaps. This one shaves like a OCMM......but feels like a smooth 1914 or something. Beautiful looking and shaving.
You nailed a very important factor...You absolutely nailed it...well done!..and in very few words...This very thing is so hard to discribe....I'm going to be quoting you on this one...
Thats a Cover-girl Face...could make a coffee table book cover for a book about classic razor art masterpieces...
You're not alone on this...I've heard this from some folks, like yourself, whose experience and opinions I absolutely respect....And I do love a good E2 or I types....My I2 is probably the one razor I would never want to be without...If lost, I would absolutely have to replace it...}8^)) I'm not saying it's even my best ever shaver...But on many levels...I just need to have a hydro-magic in the shave cave, period...
Know anyone who wants to buy some DE stuff. Lol. Man I am telling you...the lather catcher rotation is at 4...I have killer SE's and Injectors. No need for DE. This one blows away even my 1909 single ring!!!
