Shaved with the Fatip again last night on about 2 days of beard. Gave myself a few weepers and an especially stubborn one on my chin. The alum was much quieter this time but still a little stingy. Still not really enjoying the shave itself though. It just feels rough.
Happy Independence Day July 4, 2017 Cobra Classic Schick Proline (3) Zenith B02 Boar Nuàvia Rossa In addition to the normal festivities of the 4th today is my Mom's 79th birthday. So I thought the Nuàvia Rossa would be a great soap for the day. The big Zenith loaded and lathered the Rossa easily with its scent filling the room. The scent of Rossa is simply intoxicating and brings so much to the shave. With a wonderful slick base of lather, I started the shave with all intentions of my usual 2 pass shave. However, the scent of Rossa was just too much so I went with a 3 pass shave to prolong the experience. Overall I would give the shave a solid A+ with no nicks, weepers or irritation. I applied the extra lather to my face as an aftershave balm. After a final rinse, my face feels wonderful and I can enjoy the scent for the next several hours. Happy Independence Day everyone.

July 4th Gillette NEW LC w Polsilver (1) 30DC LE brush First Canadian Maximo Gomez Cuba SS Thayers Chatillon Lux Unconditional Surrender AS Finally on focus after a weekend away at the lake. First day with the NEW LC and the Polsilver is up first. Great lather with the First Canadian and the Tuxedo- a thick, rich lather. I love this soap. 3 passes and a bit of touch up later I am near BBS. A great first day with this razor. Finished with this excellent AS and am off to work. I've got the popsicle sticks ready, just have to get my stapler out... Have a great day all! Post Script- looked at the picture and saw some greenish buildup on the teeth of the razor- went back and looked at the NEW and it is barely noticeable to the eye but glows in the picture. Weird.

Pre: Hot water, soap off the puck, hot towel Razor: 1966 Schick Krona Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock Green Brush: Omega 10098 Soap: Regiment Shaving's "High Speed" Post: Hot/Cold rinse, alum block, cold towelx2, Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer After Shave: Old Spice "Original" from my WCS sampler For my Independence Day shave I went with Regiment Shaving's "High Speed". Sixty seconds on the soap, about thirty in the bowl, and the 10098 delivered a great smelling slick lather. Did a traditional 3 pass shave with some J hooking on my neck. DFS+. Can't ask for more than that on what would have been a workday shave. Splashed on some Old Spice, and the 4th was underway. Have a safe 4th of July everyone!
