  4. Wednesday July 5 - NOT Cinco de Julio for me

    Rockwell 6s on plate #3 / Topaz Platinum ( 2 )
    Omega B+B Essential Boar
Red Green Duct Tape Special frankensoap
    Alum and Clubman VIBR

I would have done the Cinco de Julio popsicle stick razor but my stapler ran out of staples. if it hadn't been for this completely unforeseen mishap, I would have been out there slicing my face up with the rest of the lemmings. You know how that goes... :)

So I was forced to enjoy a safe , sane and relaxing shave before going on shift instead. (The stage directions note that the above lines require a complete and total lack of sincerity in the voice.)

I haven't used the Omega boar brush for a couple months but it performed to specs as usual, munching up a mouthful of the soft soap and spitting out gobs of lather. After which the Rockwell did its thing. The Clubman VIBR then gives a nice Island lift to the spirits to finish it all off.
  5. Excellent setup for a Wednesday shave.

    Cinco de Julio SOTD:

    Stirling Synthetic Brush
    Tiki Cabernet Neroli SS
    Popsicle Stick Shavette
    Stirling Unscented PSB
    Adidas Dynamic Pulse AS

I forgot that Cinco de Julio fell on a normal gym morning, otherwise I would have done what Adam did and gone for a Quatro de Julio shave. As it was, I got up a bit early and shaved before heading to the gym. I did 1 and a half passes and am very near BBS. I had two small weepers, one on my neck in a spot I seem to nick every now and then, and one on my chin due to a bit of carelessness. In reality, I drew much more blood assembling my razor than shaving. My stapler is not up to going through popsicle sticks, so I'll have to find another solution before trying this again. I hope everyone has a great day!

5 July 2017 Feels Like Monday, But It's Wednesday Blade Focus Shave

Pre: Hot water, soap from the puck, hot towel
    Razor: 1966 Schick Krona
    Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock Green
    Brush: Omega 10098
    Soap: Catie's Bubbles "Florentine Fern"
Post: Hot/Cold rinse, alum block, cold towelx2, Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer
After Shave: Speick Erfrischende Pflege A/S

Woke up this morning and coulda swore it was Monday, but of course it's Wednesday. Broke out the "Florentine Fern". Using the big Italian Boar, whipped up a great lather that smelled even better. 2.5 passes of shaving excellence later, I had a midweek DFS. Just a little J hooking on my neck to polish things up.
Splashed on the Speick that arrived the other day and off to work I went.
    See ya!!

    Cobra Classic
    Schick Proline (4)
    Zenith B02 Boar
    Route 66 Bay Lime Twist
    Folsom & Co Shambala

Back to work after an very long weekend. The big boar brush easily whipped the Route 66 Bay Lime Twist into a mountain of rich slick lather. I am really enjoying this scent. Went with a two pass shave that ended a touch better than my normal near BBS. I realize I need to take more time on my neck which will be a challenge most work mornings. A splash of F&C Shambala and I am ready for the day. Hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

  13. Like Adam, I had a surprisingly good shave this morning. I only did two passes, and I'm definitely DFS.

  19. I'm beginning to feel that MAYhem may be attempting a comeback. Cinco De Julio appears to have reawakened the bloodlust and one-upmanship inherent in the system.
