Farewell shave with the G2. My entire G type collection - plus a rarely seen butterscotch G1 - is now on it's way to @GarnerPW. The G2 was the very first Schick I ever owned. @Billyfergie posted a SOTD pic of it one day and I was smitten and I had to have one. One thing led to another and we all know where that leads.

It's one of the few Schicks that can give the F type a run for it's money in the looks department. Being sentimental and all I used it for today's shave and we had a nice time together. Always good to leave on friendly terms.



Included in the package is an 8 pack of NOS Longs Drugs Platinum Chrome blades because, hey, what kind of guy would I be if I didn't try to enable a fellow Denizen whenever possible?

Today's shave was with an Old Russian Beauty( Haaa). I had a 2 pass BBS shave, that went very very smoothly and noisily. At one pass, I had a near DFS. Looks can deceive, because this is one Fine shaving razor.

The Jeeves of Hudson Street Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #199 synthetic brush. I did the two passes with the Lee Mfg. 5/8 and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
