  1. Farewell shave with the G2. My entire G type collection - plus a rarely seen butterscotch G1 - is now on it's way to @GarnerPW. The G2 was the very first Schick I ever owned. @Billyfergie posted a SOTD pic of one one day and I was smitten and I had to have one. One thing led to another and we all know where that leads.

It's one of the few Schicks that can give the F type a run for it's money in the looks department. Being sentimental and all I used it for today's shave and we had a nice time together. Always good to leave on friendly terms. :happy097:

Included in the package is an 8 pack of NOS Longs Drugs Platinum Chrome blades because, hey, what kind of guy would I be if I didn't try to enable a fellow Denizen whenever possible? :D

    Happy shaving - Karl

  3. Why yes. Yes I am. But I had to give up buying any more shaving supplies this year to make the deal at home.

  6. I'm particularly jealous over the variety with the blue/turquoise handle, or the ones with the navy handle. Those are really neat. I have a G1 and a G8 but would love those color handles at some point.
  7. Razor: AlumiGoose V1 w/El Druida handle
    Blade: Feather (7)
Brush: TSD 30 Day Crew MS 2 Band
    Soap: Captain's Choice Sandalwood
    A/S: Captain's Choice Sandalwood
    Bowl: Pottersong KO Shave Bowl

Very nice close comfortable 3 pass shave tonight.

  8. I agree about the blue/turquoise handle, they're very nice but a little hard to find in nice condition.

    Blade: Chinese Schickoneo
    Razor: Personna injector
    Brush: Omega 10049 boar
    Lather: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post: Witch hazel, Fine American Blend aftershave
    WTG, touch-up

Really smooth and comfortable shave with the Personna injector. Surprisingly close after my normal pass and clean-up. Quite enjoyable.

    Have a nice evening!

  12. I have to confess that the G1 is not my favorite Injector. So I have to admit to a curiosity at wanting to try a Gx (where x>1) if only to see if there is a difference.

  13. I have several in the bakelite box..with blade banks
That will be the play then. Winner gets to choose.

As I was reminded a few nights ago they all have the same head. Individual razors can feel different tbough. I have a G8 that shaves very much like a E2. Others find them super mild.

    Ever Ready Streamline & GemS/S [ 1 ]

Find it hard to believe there is a better Shaver than this, but you need to use a feather light touch.I was lucky and
really learnt to Shave with a Streamline.

  16. Can you compare it with a lather catcher shave?

  17. Nice picture Tom.

  18. Hard to take a bad picture with that Streamline though.
  19. Speaking of lather catchers, instead of using 1912-14 ER for my ER lather catcher can I split the difference and call it a 1913???
