Pre: Cold shower and Chatillon Lux Pre Shave Butter Razor: MMOC Blade: Shimmed GEM Stainless Brush: Stirling Finest 24mm Lather: L&L Cuir et Epices Post: Chatillon Lux Gratiot League Square Very good shave of the evening. Had almost 4 days of growth, the MMOC took care of it with ease in 3 passes. Gotta love L&L Cuir et Epices, which was my first L&L soap. It is a very nice leather scent with supporting notes that don't get overpowered by the strong leather. GLS by Chatillon Lux is a very good match for this soap, with some more smokey notes mixed in. All in all, a superb shave.

Never realized there was a "slim" Big Bob. In California, I remember the doll on the left holding the hamburger and then in St. Louis I came across a antique store that the doll in the middle but never would have guessed a slim Big Bob.
Excellent setup Doug. Almost pulled the trigger on Timeless Bay Rum but have 15 in the den right now. How does it compare to other BR that you have.
Thank you Jim! Sometimes I get lucky on the first snap. Five or seven layers of adjustment later it looks like I know what I'm doing

I'm going to use it for a week then post a review. I find each soap is a little different. Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk
This mornings quest to forge through new soaps and razors continues. Day 3 (or 4, I forget) with the Delta Echo continues to demonstrate that this razor provides the closest shave of any razor in my cache so far, despite the fact that it lacks any history or vintage pinache. So on to one of the first soaps I acquired in my SAD spree but am just now getting around to using - Cella. I really enjoy the fragrance in the tub, but it seems to lose a bit of strength once lathered instead of filling the room. Also lathering in the small container is a bit of a pain. Having said all that, there is a reason this is an iconic soap, as it performs well and smells pleasant. Stirling Almond Cream smells very similar in the tub, so I may have to lather and compare in order to keep one or the other at some point. Gotta make room for future SAD purchases eventually, right?!
