  1. The Damaskeene looks great, Andrew. Give it a few shaves. I find it to be my favorite SE.

  2. Do think the brush is causing you irritation? Like Perry, if I had to wait for cooler, less humid days to use a soap and brush, there would be about two months a year I could use one. Is it possible you are having a reaction to something in the soap?

  3. problem solved-I just ordered Glacial Wintergreen shave soap from Stoylin.

  4. I'm not sure-it was fine when I began using it, which was before the heat consistency began.
  5. That is a cold one.
  6. I'll be ready. It'll be my first COLD soap, but I've had a little practice getting used to that kind of thing, by use of my Gillette Foamy Menthol cream.

  7. Looking good Mark.
  8. Thanks Jim!
  9. Great looking setup Andrew. You'll get the hang of the Damaskeene. It might have been the blade and not the angle. I find the first shave on some Gem blades to be very harsh.
  10. Thanks Clint, I'll keep trying.
  11. I read you've got the cool soap ordered. If that AS isn't cool enough, try Osage Rub. Jeff @Yehuda D approves ;). It can be applied, then another AS or cologne splashed over it.

As to your rambling, this Interwebs thing is made up out of electrons. They are recyclable. The whole point of The 30 Day thread is working out issues.
  12. yes it certainly is, and by the way, I'm closing in on a final decision to move to Colorado. By "closing in", I just mean, I'm still in early stages but your state looks best.
  13. That's Chris, the Mod with Laser Focus in Colorado. I'm the mod on the South Coast with humidity and mosquitoes

  14. Why not - if I can use the Osage Rub, anybody can!
  15. oh man....who did I have you mixed up with? Let me avail myself to say this.....OOOPS :)
  16. Osage may be next for this writer. But let's see about Wintergreen for now.

  17. Oh my God!

Are you ever in for a frigid treat - you'll be shivering and tingling for an hour after your shave! ;)
  18. <--- Also lives in Colorado. BTW Colorado Springs:

  19. Osage, or as I call it - the Rubby Dubby Doo is strong menthol as well. Very strong menthol but the Glacial Wintergreen witch hazel makes it feel tame!

  20. Yes..remember my tease for Osage-'Rubber Soul Dubby Doo"(Beatles album-Rubber Soul). Thus, I teased your tease!
