    Alum, Patchouli Lime AS

I was surprised to find this cream locally. A "health food" store had several scents and being fond of patchouli it was an easy choice. With moistened German made brush I face lathered, and put razor to beard. WTG pass was effective and uneventful. Another squirt of cream into the brush brought up plenty more slick easy lather. This product would be good for travel not needing a bowl and working up easily. ATG with the Feather blade of unknown number of uses proceeded without error. I don't rinse between 1st W, 2nd A, or 3rd XTG passes so the residual lather on my face and in the brush provided enough glide for that 4th clean up business. Skipped the alum as I was feeling confidant of good form. The AS was from my early wet shaving days. Lightly mango scented alcohol and WH with added patchouli & lime EO. DFS+ ...ahh.

Cold River Soap Works Barbeire Sapone
    Fine American Blend AS

You ever have a soap that seems to demand a certain type of razor? I cannot use this soap without a straight or shavette. This is one of my all time favorite scents, and it is nearing the end of the tub. I am extremely sad that the scent is no longer offered and will lament it vigorously when I use the last of it. Time to start begging for another run of it. It paired really nicely with the Fine American Blend. The Luxor Pro has been giving me great results.

Midnight Wednesday evening July 19 - sanity shave

After an emotional day bookended by three-hour car trips it was good to relax with a shave before starting my night shift.

    Rockwell 6s on plate #3 / Topaz Platinum ( 1 )
    Omega B + B Essential Boar
    Kent MWF in wooden tub
    Alum and Clubman VIBR

I am back to the Rockwell 6s for the rest of the month after touring through my Gillette adjustables. It's always a reliable source of a good shave. The Fat got the nod for the soap. I announced a focus on it at the beginning of the month, expecting to struggle with getting consistent lather. Instead it has provided good protection from my first use. Rather anticlimactic actually. The Omega boar whipped it up nicely tonight and did a good job lathering my stubble so the Rockwell 6s could mow it down. Silent alum was followed by a warming uplift from the Clubman VIBR.

I am now refreshed and ready to face the night.

Edit:. I appear to have achieved a two-pass BBS tonight without trying to do so or even realizing I had.

    Blade: Feather Pro
    Razor: RazoRock Black Hawk
    Brush: Semogue 1520 boar
    Lather: Soap Commander Courage
    Post: Witch hazel, Speick aftershave
    WTG, touch-up

Easy shave this morning with this combination. I really enjoy the Black Hawk SE. The Soap Commander Courage was great as usual and lathered easily with the Semogue boar. This is the 8th shave on this sample - still going strong. I may be using this one into next month! Nice shave overall.

    Have a great day!

Thanks, Clint! It's gone by pretty quickly so far. Being back in the routine does that.

The Cambridge & Oxford scent of lavender, rosemary and peppermint adds to the shave experience. I do wish the scent was stronger but it does last throughout the shave. I went back to a 2 pass shave with the first pass being XTG followed by the ATG pass. I hoped that with skin stretching and attention to detail I could equal or perhaps surpass yesterday's excellent result. I can safely say the resulting near perfect shave was at least as good as yesterday's result. This was the 3rd shave on the FHS-10 blade. I will continue using this blade to get a better idea of its service life. I finished off the shave with a splash of Myrsol Agua Balsamica. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

The summers are always slower for me at work. That just seems to make the week drag on forever.

Another nice shave this morning. On my ATG pass, it the blade is a bit tuggy, but I did end with a DFS again. It will get at least #20 tomorrow. I really enjoy Wholly Kaw soap. I'll have to keep it on my list for when I use up a few tubs. I hope everyone has a great day!

Thank you Andrew. I decided life was too short. In an effort to fund the purchase, I sold 2 razors over the weekend. I am so impressed with the Genesis I can see selling some more razors soon. I just have to wrap my head around selling unobtanium items.
