Joined a day or two ago and never said hello on here. I'm new, really in the acquisition stage, to wet shaving. I have bought a few things and will be buying the rest in the next week or so. Though from what I've been reading there will always be something new I want to try. My current intentions are to start with a vintage, likely Gillette SS, undecided on blades but will stick with one type for a month, and probably a Parker Better Badger Brush. Anyhow I'm 41 year old proud father of 4 and hope to learn much from you all. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Welcome @whispers76. A Super Speed Black Tip would be right up your alley. Smooth shaves with even "aggressive" blades(they're all aggressive). This is my '52. May I suggest the 30 Day Rule/Focus thread? You'll get some great advice and your technique will improve tremendously. I've been there pretty much since I started here(11/16) doing blade auditions for my razors. Also give a look at the"Riding the Cap" post in the Shave School thread. Enjoy your shaves and ask questions!
The 30 day thread was recommended in my vintage vs new post and I definitely will be participating. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
