July 27, 2017- Proline Razor: Eversharp-Schick J1 Injector Blade: Schick Proline B (2) Brush: Razorock Plissoft 22 Cream: KMF fragrance-free Post: Alum, WH Another great shave with the J1 loaded with the Proline B. The Japanese Schick Injector blades have a bit of a reputation for being better than the Chinese ones and much more like the classic Dutch ones. I can only assume that the Proline takes that and turns it up a further notch. A little noise from the Alum and no blood.

27 July 2017 Sure Happy It's Thursday OLD Blade Focus Shave Pre: Hot water, soap from the container and a hot towel Razor: 1911 Gillette Single Ring OLD type Blade: PolSilver Super Iridium Brush: JR#161 NY Mets Special Edition Soap: Catie's Bubbles "Florentine Fern" Post: Hot/Cold rinse, alum block, cold towelx2, Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer After Shave: Speick for Men, Erfrischende Pflege Today I decided to take a walk in the woods. So using JR#161 I lathered up "Florentine Fern" by Catie's Bubbles. A really nice fougere type soap. I took a flyer when I bought it having no idea what it was gonna smell like. The first time I opened it my first thought was "forest". It is very slick, smells great and the Post face feel is fantastic. My usual 2.5 pass shave with the OLD/PSI duo yielded a BBS shave. Apparently my face likes this particular soap, razor, blade pairing. A BBS shave this late in the shave week is really encouraging. I may have to pay closer attention to pairings than I have been. Splashed on some Speick A/S, which goes very nicely with this soap and Thursday was off and running. Have a great shave, have a great day!
Brian, I saw your post on the SOTD and was going to comment that while it is a beautiful razor the spikes looked very intimidating.
