There's a lot going on with that razor. Too much I guess to get it produced. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
It's very easy to load a twinjector blade in the Supply. Just take the baseplate off, place the blade on the stops, and screw the baseplate back on. Done. Takes me about ten seconds. I just don't bother because I don’t much like the double blades.
That's actually the patent for the Gem Pushbutton Adjustable. IIRC, only one has been seen and was, at one point, owned by another DENizen (@HoosierTrooper). Link to the original posting: http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/a-very-rare-gem-razor.31431/
That's pretty cool. It would solve the "What angle do I shave?" issue. Nice. Or...it looks like I've misinterpreted the patent drawings. I thought the ratchet moved the head in an arc, thus changing angle. But maybe the adjustment is in blade exposure, not head angle.
Absolutely agree. Most efficient injector I have used. Hard to justify the premium charged for some of the "modern" versions that are being sold.
I am somewhat glad that I held off buying the SP V1. Now I can back the 2.0 Kickstarter. It will be nice to see how it compares to my Schick Injectors.
I regretted not getting in on V1 and just a couple weeks ago decided to get one. I've been holding off until either a sale/price drop or an ebay bargain I couldn't pass up. Looking forward to trying my v2. I actually have an old Schick Injector (I have NO idea which one it is) but have never tried it.
I was a little disappointed in the quality of the 2nd run of the single edge, so I'm interested to see what this second version will look like. Hope we have some pictures showing the difference between the two.
I received notice that I'm in the first group receiving their razors so I should have mine soon. As soon as I get it I'll try to get some pics up.
