SoS: July 24, 2017 - July 30, 2017

Today's shave was with a freshly honed loaner razor. I had just got back from vacation, and had a weeks worth of heavy, heavy beard growth. This razor easily, and smoothly, cut through the growth like it wasn't there. The neck area was another story. The heel end is "Wicked". This is a dangerous razor, in need of the heel being muted. It's not mine, so I left it alone. I received two small, almost inconsequential, nicks on the neck. Other than that, it was a very smooth and pleasant two pass shave, with one touch-up, on the chin, that left me BBS.

Soap- Mitchells Wool Fat
Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice

Last time I used this razor (years ago) it didn't perform well. Now it shaved very well, but is just too clunky. BBS on cheeks, DFS on the neck and that's as close as I could get without gouging myself.

Honored another threads citrusy theme with a shower with a nice coconut and lime wash, followed by a fun Barbasol Aloe lathered up with hot water shave with my Ever Ready Model 1912 (loaded with Ted Pella) and followed by the hard working Pinaud Lime de Sec. Ahhhhh.

 

Had an Aristocrat shave day with the grandkids, Kali, Mason, and Jade. I used my new to me Aristocrat (1946) that I recieved as a gift from a good friend. She gave it to my daughter to give to me when we celebrated my birthday with all the grandkids at the ice-cream store. This mornings shave was with KMF Lavender as it is made for sensitive skin and will not irritate young faces. It was a most enjoyable and humorous shave as Jade age 2, Mason age 6, and Kali age 8 participated. I whipped up a full bowl of KMF with the L'Occitane Plisson to have enough for all to enjoy. The children used Aristocrats as well and Kali helped Jade. Have a blessed day everyone.
