SOTD July 31st RazoRock Baby Smooth Gillette Platinum (3) Simpson's CH2 Synthetic Sir Hare "Classic Barber" Another epic shave from the Baby Smooth. Using this razor is teaching my that I can do thing that I didn't think were previously possible. I am able to go ATG on my face and XTG on my neck, two passes that would result in some discomfort before. It also has taught me that I haven't had nearly as much angle control as I previously though and there is still a vast amount of improvement that can be made with my technique when it comes to using other razors. I've been getting the smoothest shaves I've ever has with this razor and it has reset the bar and has given me something to work toward with my other razors. Happy Monday everyone!
Thank you Andrew. No such luck for the doctors today. Appointment in the morning. I just want a quick exam and then a CT of the Lower GI with and without contrast. At least that is what they have done every time in the past. I will just try to stay out of the ER the remainder of the day.
I'm sorry, Clint. I pray that relief comes to you very soon. Thank you. It has really been enjoyable.
July 31, 2017 Razor: Schick G8 Injector Blade: Chick (2) Brush: Razorock Plissoft 22 Cream: KMF fragrance-free Post: Alum, Listerine, WH After using the Proline blades for the past few shaves, I thought I'd dial back to something milder and go with the G8 loaded with a Chick. Effortless, issueless BBS. This has definitely been an interesting month. For the most part, it's been an Injector focus and has been enlightening. Until recently, I never really got the Injector excitement that others have. That was, at least, until I got to try Twin blades in a Schick adjustable and Chick blades in an E2. The Proline B blades also make for an exciting experience. I'm not ready to get rid of my DE's, but I will admit that I don't hear them calling as loudly.
Last night I got in my last shavette shave of the month. Between a vacation travel day, a youth lock-in, and a recovery sleep day, shaving took a back seat for three days. So I had a considerable amount of stubble to mow down last night. My head had a week's worth of growth as I passed on head shaving over vacation. Razor: CJB Kamisori with a new Feather Pro blade Brush: Omega 10049 boar Soap: Stirling Glacial MITA Aftercare: Dickenson's witch hazel, Osage Rub Head shave: Schick Krona Glacial MITA has become my favorite of the Glacial soaps. Such a great scent and feel. The CJB and Feather Pro mowed down the beard with a bloodless vengeance. I could have walked off with one pass and a very presentable shave, but went for a second pass just for the joy of it. The Schick is a comfortable head shaver and handled the extra growth very capably. For August I'll be focusing primarily on boar brushes (Omega 10049 and Stirling Boar which is due in today) and my Gillette adjustables on setting Neal. I'm enjoying more aggressive razors of late, so I'll be comparing the Fatboy, Slim and Black Beauty wide open.
