Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Gillette Platinum Plus still in the Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with RazoRock Tuscan Oud aftershave. Bob

The stiff backbone of the brush worked up an impressive lather from just that tiny amount of soap (I still have more of this soap in reserve, but I wanted to see just how good the brush would be at extracting every last bit of soap). I'd have to say the Kai blade shaves very comfortably in this very aggressive razor (I call it "The Face Grater"), however I didn't have the time to try any risky shave strokes to eek the closest shave I could this morning. So, a full test of the Kai blade will have to wait.

SOTN August 1st RazoRock Baby Smooth Gillette Platinum (4) Stirling 24mm Synthetic Dirty Deeds Bay Run and Lime Stirling Iced Pineapple AS I think this will be the last attempt with the Dirty Deeds soap sample. I don't know what the issue is but I cannot get a good lather out of this soap, which is a shame because I really like the scent and so does my wife. On top of that while trying to face lather it last night before even putting the razor to my face I was starting to feel a little bit of a burning sensation. By the time I was done with the shave I had a good bit of irritation going. Luckily a splash of Stirling Iced Pineapple and its menthol blast extinguished the burn things and made my face blissfully numb. When the chill faded the irritated feeling was gone.
