  1. Have you experienced burning with any other soaps, Andrew?
  2. Thanks, Andrew. That 'drink train' is actually a music box. When you lift the canter out, it plays an old song about having a drink. Can't remember what the song is called. Got it at an estate sale.
  3. That is a very good question, Clint. The performance is absolutely top notch, with a wonderful, almost tacky feel as you apply it. The scent is very long lasting and the face feel is 2nd to none. I'm growing more accustomed to the unique scents, I guess. I don't wear cologne, and most of my favourite aftershaves have been very traditional scents such as Old Spice (Reserve Spice, Stirling Spice) or 'Blue' type scents (Reserve Cool, Polar Ice). My wife loves Stirling Barbershop as well. Gentleman was my most 'out there' scent until these, if that makes any sense.
So would I buy more Chatillon Lux products? Absolutely, but I won't just keep buying more scents to add. I'm thinking their simpler, more mentholated summer AS (Taum Sauk, Colbeck) might be my next purchases of theirs.
  4. Great picture Clint. I took me photo before seeing yours, honest.
  5. Thank you, Jason! I have not. I would definitely like to at some point, maybe when this tube runs out.
  6. No no other soaps have caused burning, and I didn't have burning the other two times I used the soap. But I didn't face lather it those times either.

  7. I have about 1 or 2 shaves left as well. I get a middle of the road lather across the board. Ive had worse soaps but I do think the maker needs to tweak the formula.

  8. Thank you for such a detailed reply. I will buy some of their aftershaves after I use up some of my current supply.

  9. Would you purchase it again Clint?
  10. No problem Doug. There is only so many ways to arrange the items.

  12. I received it as a gift from Adam and I appreciate the thoughtfulness of the gift. Without re formulating I don't think it would make the buy list.

  14. Well this mornings shave was a bit rough due to my own stupidity. Dialed the Slim back from 9 to 6 and it was way rougher yesterday's super smooth shave on 9. What the??? Backed it down to a 5 for pass two... even rougher and I nicked myself. What the???? Looked at the doors and realized they were completely loose, as was the blade. Doh!! A clockwise turn of the base locked it down for a smooth pass but the damage was already done. The lesson here? When a perfectly good razor and perfectly good blade make your face feel like someone applied a weed eater to it, then doused it with gasoline and lit it...stop shaving, you idiot! Something is wrong and needs to be fixed.

  19. Yes, I think I've seen it in one of his SOTD posts.
  20. Seriously guys? August 2nd and 10 pages in? Last month I didn't have much time to be online. This month will be the same. Planning on rotating straights and soaps while home, and picking a simple travel set up for the family vacation to Yellowstone in a few weeks. Hoping to finish off a tub of soap.
