I like mine a lot! It can be anywhere from extremely mild (setting 1) to quite comfortable (setting 7). Never tried #8 but plan to soon. The lower numbers are too mild for me at this point, but I used setting 5 for a long time when first using it. I would recommend it! Yep, Tom had a pass-around about a year ago. In fact, last summer both Tom and Karl G had razor pass-arounds. I participated in five or six of them - the Bunny, Schick H, PAL Injectomatic, Schick M, PAL Adjustable, etc. Those were a lot of fun.
SOTD August 4, 2017 Blade: Chinese Schick Razor: Schick M adjustable Brush: Omega 10049 boar Lather: Mitchell's Wool Fat Post: Witch hazel, Fine American Blend aftershave WTG, touch up Nice shave this morning with The Fat. This original puck is still going. I was in panic mode for a while because I thought this one would finish up faster than it has. I ordered a new one from Connaughts, which has arrived, but this little remainder is holding on strong. Nice shave as usual and ready for the day. As @mrchick says - have fun!
August 4, 2017 OneBlade Genesis V2 Rubberset 400 with WSP HMW Mystic Water Lavender Lime Myrsol Agua Balsamica Happy Friday Everyone! The day is off to a great start. The new meds from the Dr are already reducing the symptoms and I had an excellent shave. All in all a wonderful start to a Friday morning. With time on my hands after yesterday's doctor appointments I decided to check the fit of a Gem blade with the spine removed in the Genesis razor. While it didn't firmly lock in place, the friction fit was tight and the blade exposure equal. So I just had to give it a go for this morning's shave. The 400 just ate the MW Lavender Lime and delivered a mountain of thick rich slick lather. I did have to add water to thin it out just a bit which seems to work better with the Genesis. I went with a traditional 3 pass shave followed by touch ups. The end result was an exceptionally smooth close shave. I expect the Gem blade to work even better for the next shave. I finished off the shave with a splash of Myrsol Agua Balsamica. I hope everyone has a great Friday.

4 August 2017 R E D Friday OLD Blade Focus Shave Pre: Hot water, soap from the puck and a hot towel. Razor: 1911 Gillette Single Ring OLD Type Blade: Rapira Platinum Lux Brush: Omega 10098 Soap: @Salty Belle's Route 66 "Rum Runner" Post: Hot/Cold rinse, alum block, cold towelx2, Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer After Shave: Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum Last shave of this audition. Got a bit of an early start and really took my time. After the big Italian boar whipped up a great lather from the "Rum Runner", I managed to coax a 2.5 pass BBS shave from the Platinum Lux. Usually Friday shaves are DFS or at worst WWS. But by really concentrating on my technique I scored the baby. I don't often chase, but today I did, just to see if I could. Splashed on some VIBR and TGIF was off to a terrific start! Wear RED today!
Thank you Jared. I am very hopeful that it'll be even better after a few days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
