Headed on a plane back home as we speak. It was a work trip to Buffalo, but I had the family in tow to see the Falls and visit cousins in Canada. After yesterday's open door fiasco, I was not excited about today's shave, but the Slim on 6 gave me 2 smooth passes and a DFS+ shave without incident. Now back to the heat and humidity...
August 4th Gillette Black Beauty w Nacet (3) TGN Finest Fan Stirling Port-au-Prince SS Thayers Stirling Barbershop AS Shaved earlier this morning and Adjustable August rolls on. Face-lathered a nice lather with the P-au-P. It is my only mutton formula Stirling (and my only Vetiver as well) and I find this sample to be a very heavily scented and 'sweetly' scented soap. Performance is excellent. This brush is my favourite for face lathering. Dialed the 109 to '9' for the first 2 passes, and down to 7 for the third. Am near BBS without touch ups and really can't do any better unless I go truly ATG on my lower neck. I believe my technique has improved substantially as I wasn't comfortable going 9,9,7 when I was focussing on this razor in the Spring. Splashed on some Barbershop and am ready to face the day. Gotta love some heat and humidity. When I stepped out of my house this morning at 4:30, it was a cool 82 degrees and my glasses became opaque.
There definitely is a way. I'm not sure what I did, but my appearance doesn't change from vintage whether I'm on my PC desktop, iPad or iPhone. What does change, ironically, is the information I see holding my phone horizontally vs vertically.

Glad to hear you're getting lots of good use from the brush! I've been spending some days using Palmolive (Classic Stick and Menthol cream) as well, Charlie. I'm loving it, actually. Probably my favourite 'mass market' soap/cream right now and I'd put the Menthol version ahead of a few of my Artisan products as well, to be honest.
SOTN August 3rd RazoRock Baby Smooth Gillette Nacet Route 66 Cranberry Citrus Anchorset I love the scent of Route 66 Cranberry Citrus! Post shave feel is top notch as well. The Baby Smooth was fantastic with the Nacet, these really remind me of GSB's. Have a great weekend everyone. TGIF!

The light weight is going to take some getting used to but it was enjoyable to use. The Kai blade did the job, three passes and I ended up BBS with zero irritation. The blade did tug slightly so I'm going to try one of the Feather blades next. I finished up with this wonderful scent from Chatillon Lux. How I wish he offered this scent in an EDP. For this month I'm going to work through the 11 blade sampler I got from Try a Blade. Once I find "the" best blade I'll order it in bulk. Have a great day folks!
