If you were out in the "Wild" and you came across something shave related that you've always wanted but never seen till now. Your "Holy Grail" of shaving so to speak. What would it be? For me right now it'd be a mint WWI - II military khaki shave kit, I just think they're too cool.
I often imagine walking into a small hole in the wall type antique store and finding a pristine 7 day straight razor set....with a price tag that is within my range. Okay, Okay...but it is fun to dream...
Honestly a mint president or diplomat. I have never tried the brit aristocrats so if they shave similar I would pick that. Something about the barber pole handle and nickle/rhodium gets me. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
I have thought of selling everything and just buying one and being done but worried I may not like it. I LOVE my aristocrat perfect combo of comfort while allowing for some speed if I need to rush. That being said I love silver finishes much more than gold. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
For me a bottom dial Fatboy at some small antique place that doesn't know what they have! Man that's sweet!
Same for me. A mint President or Diplomat. I'd also like to find an orange handled Schick L or one of the multi-color (swirl) handled 500s
Might have been Ryan @PLANofMAN that posted the history of the Toggle. Long story short; Toggles were all experimental. Gillette took the lessons learned and built Model #195. I've not seen a Toggle with my own eyes. I have used a couple Fat Boys. If a Toggle sets it's self in my path for an acceptable price I'll scoop it up. For now I'm very happy that others got the testing out of the way so I can enjoy my FB. I am looking for a Schick type F...
I have two. I found one last Sunday: The other is a Super Speed Red Tip, any year. Two(a) is a birth year. This Sunday weather cooperating I'll be going back to the fleamarket. A vendor there is supposed to be bringing a plastic shoebox full of razors.
For me it would be the leather and wood case for a Gillette Regent Tech. I already have the razor in excellent condition, just need to find its rightful home!
May sound silly, but I like the unusual. I'm looking for a TTO Milady ... even user grade. Like this ...
toggle, no doubt about it....still have not only never seen one in the wild, but I have never even held one in my hand.
The razors I've thrown away in my youth sometimes makes me ill. At least four or five Toggles ... I use to think "it looks like a ducks bill, how stupid".
