I sold off some gold jewelry that I rarely wear, today. I got some good money for it, to use toward restoring an heirloom pocket watch that was my maternal Grandmother's. It needs a second hand & crystal as well as repair to the watch mechanism. I look forward to having it in working order. I love old pocket watches.
Rich, we had pulled pork sandwiches and my wife made an amazing macaroni salad, oh and coleslaw. The pork butt got happy in the crock pot for 5 hours. I woke up at 11pm with level 9 heartburn. i took 3 pills for relief, almost had to call the fire department.
The major task for me today has been completed: Get the remainder of my Mom's HUGE birdseed order out of the closet. Two reps from Mass. Audobon came with a good sized van to take all but one-I wanted the one. It's 50 lbs....something tells me I may live to regret it after filling up the first two jars I have(closing up that 50-pounder is going to be tricky). . But I'm glad all the birdfood is out of her house now.
My monthly subscription to Blue Bottle Coffee arrived yesterday, so I was definitely looking forward to my coffee this morning. This month's selection is called "Giant Steps." It was oh so good (freshly ground by me, french press). This is one of those coffees that I wish the cup would never run empty. As much as I like several different coffees, there are only a few that I'd wish were bottomless cups. Here's the webpage on it for those interested: https://bluebottlecoffee.com/store/giant-steps I think I have a referral link somewhere if anyone decides to sign up. (I don't work for Blue Bottle )
Looks good. Sounds like something I would enjoy. I like a coffee with lots of body, or "mouth feel," and as they describe it as "substantial," and "viscous", probably right up my alley. What's it roasted to? Medium or dark?
Power washed my house. First time I've ever washed a house. Then again, this is the longest I've ever lived in the same house - 13 1/2 years. Dad in the Air Force for 21 years, then me for 20; yeah, we moved a lot. After that I did the yard thing. Funny how I hate the thought of having to mow, but once I get out there doing it, I kinda enjoy it. And ya gotta love the smell of fresh cut grass!
