Adjustable August is rolling along. The Jeeves and Tuxedo whipped up way more than enough thick lather and 3 passes later I am DFS+. Feels like I could have used a little touch up on my neck, but still a fine shave at 7,7,7 for the 3 passes. Zero irritation as well. I think I'll 'focus' on my right side neck for a bit, as I haven't been super happy with my results the past few days.
This particular Jeeves soap is not very heavily scented, so I can pair it with anything. Went with the excellent Unconditional Surrender and am off to work.
    Have a great day, all!
  2. Thank you, Doug. Have a great day!

  9. Strop Shoppe made some great soaps and Baker Street was one great scent. Sad they are no longer in business.

  10. Wow. Fantastic photo Jason. :happy096: Everything just pops.
  11. They show up pretty regularly on some B/S/T threads. You are right that it is great soap. I'm glad Stirling has revived the Baker Street scent. It's really interesting.
  12. I bought three tubs of soap at Cold River Soap Works yesterday. I have never tried their soap and was curious about it but felt I already had more than enough shave products. Then I read the thread about Jeff's Soap and the thought that I could both try CRSW and do a good deed at the same time enabled ... no, forced me to make the purchase. Except shipping to Canada costs almost as much as the soap, so then I naturally had to buy a couple tubs of other scents to spread the pain. (That's also how I ended up trying Lucky Tiger aftershave yesterday -- I needed to add enough to my Semogue brush order to get free shipping...)

So today I visited the Rockwell Razors site to see how the Model T is coming along and to get a stand and a leather cover for my 6s ... and found they have added a bunch of products. In particular, like Supply Provision, they now offer their own soap and cream so new shavers enticed into shaving by their razors can get everything they need in one stop. It's a vegan glycerin soap and cream in a Barbershop scent, and had some pretty good reviews on the site.
Naturally, I was forced to buy a tub of each to try out and to review for the Crew -- and to qualify for free shipping....

I think in September, I will be playing with some new soaps...
  13. My logic works the same way. I do end up with entirely too much stuff though. At least you'll have lots of new soaps to use over the next couple of months.
  14. Thanks, Jim.
  15. Thanks, Clint.

Great gear. Efficient shave. DFS with no errors so I skipped the alum.
    Good Shaves Y'all!
  18. Thank you, Clint. I don't think this one has 20 in it. I will get at least 14, which isn't too bad, though. Thus is my last long run blade. After this, I am going to back to a handful of shaves per blade. I may push a SE blade a little in SEptember just to see.
  19. Score, I just got another Gillette adjustable! A Gillette executive without the case or paperwork. :bounce017:
I've been wanting one for a while, finally got my hands on one!
