Great write-up @Fly2High!! I had no idea there were so many different shave soaps! Much less all in one place! I'm pretty sure there aren't that many soaps in all of Louisiana.

I've been to the promised land!! Actually I was there twice yesterday (morning and afternoon), and it was closed both times... I'm in NY with work, so my time is limited.
Well... Good things should not come easy!
Now I have actually checked the opening hours, so I will hopefully sucseed in my shaving quest tomorrow

Pasteur's is closed on Sunday. I found out the hard way too.

Don't let the small store front fool you. There's a huge amount of shave equipment in there.

Closed on Sunday, dang. The security cameras would've had a pic of me looking through the window drooling!

I don't think there is a single major shaving brand that isn't available there.

Yeah I found out, so i'm waiting till monday or tuesday.
Have any of You guys tried the other Pasteur shop?? - The one close to Central Park.

I heard that it is a smaller store and does not have as good a selection.

I would meet you at Pasteur's, but I work in lower Manhattan and only get to midtown a couple of times a month.

It appears that they have a web site so you can find the store. But I don't see any way to place an online order. I guess they don't want to be bothered with shipping.

How do you New Yorkers cope being spoiled for choice! I'd go bankrupt in a month.
