But, again, the lather was only adequate at best. I'll try it one more time this week and see what happens. As much as I love the fragrance, life is to short for adequate. Tuesday Prep: Warm Shower-Stirling Bath Soap-Scots Pine Sheep Soap: Martin de Candre Fougere Razor: Gillette “Black Beauty” Super Adjustable Blade: Vintage Gillette Platinum-Plus (Shave #10) Brush: Ever-Ready 50R/TGN Premium Silvertip-20mmx55mm Aftershave: Anucci EdT WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard) MdC Fougere today. 20 seconds to load the Ever-Ready/TGN Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Gillette Platinum-Plus still in the Gillette Black Beauty. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Anucci EdT. Bob
The Stealth Slant clone from Manly Stuff in Ireland shaves just as reviews of the Stealth suggest, almost disconcerting in its mildness, but very efficient. No trouble with the head shave's tricky stuff that foiled the Tech yesterday. I used an alternative handle that Sean at MS sent, a little shorter and lighter than stock but at 122g quite heavy enough thank you. 9/12/17 Tuesday Razor: Gillette SS Blade: Wilkinson Sword Lather: Gillette Foamy (can) AS: Brut Splash On Samo, samo. Except I actually got a solid DFS. The pairing of an SS with a Sword is genius on my part(actually by accident) but I`m going to beat my breast, if only to make myself feel good, which I need. The combination IS really smooth. Wednesday morning: Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed+Astra day 3 Hamol SC (an excellent cream from Syria) Gold Bond Moisturizer Stirling Red Delicious AS Splash Sample (unusual, but nice scent) This Hamol cream lathers crazy-rich, smells very nice, and gives a decent cooling effect with good moisturizing and protection. The Red Delicious aftershave seems strongly-scented but in a nice way. Originally I planned to use the Egyptian version of Ingram but that one can wait another few days.
For Wednesday's Shave: prep-Dove Men+Care Bodywash(Cooling Agent) shave-Stirling Wintergreen Soap(brrrrr) brush-WSP Pure Badger razor-Gillette Sensor Deuce Pivot DisposeABLE**** A.S.-Stirling Sample(Mtn. Man) ****-I suppose I should add that when I use a soap, it's one DisposeABLE for 2 passes, and out.
Bull Dog Pre shave face wash Omega pro49 TOBS Sandalwood Gillette Tech Astra SP Alum and, Proraso post shave balm Decent shave tonight. Less irritation than the last and just about as smooth. No nicks or weepers. Pretty good for a newbie haha
