I changed up my choice of Glacial soap at the last minute for some reason and I enjoyed a wonderful three pass mega-frigid BBS shave with the Eskimo Tuxedo. I had tons of such rich, slick lather which is so typical of these Stirling soaps along with two big boatloads of that intense menthol which has set these Glacial soaps aside from other menthol products. The Glacial Unscented balm is something special because it freezes the crap out of you, it's so soothing, and it pairs perfectly with any scent you want. The Rubby Dubby Doo not only makes a perfect face-freezing aftershave, it feels so cold and nice when you splash some on your head - ahhhhhhhhh, it's so invigorating! Have a great day, folks!

Thursday Prep: Warm Shower-Stirling Bath Soap-Scots Pine Sheep Soap: Stirling Gentleman Razor: Gillette Pre-War Fat Handle Tech-Triangle Slots Blade: Vintage Gillette Platinum-Plus (Shave #11) Brush: Whipped Dog Silvertip-24mmx52mm Aftershave: Stirling Gentleman w/Menthol WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard) Stirling Gentleman today. 20 seconds to load the WD Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette Platinum-Plus in the Gillette Fat Handle Tech. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Stirling Gentleman aftershave. Bob
Having been successful lately with my milder razors I dialed back the Q-Shave (with its new polished cap and guard) to 2.5 with one shim. It's always a bit tuggy but very manageable today. The 2.5 setting is more than enough blade gap to allow for the angles I like on the back of my head. A bit more irritation than usual (too much pressure surely) but a very close and enjoyable shave. Another SEeptember shave Gem Contour razor Gem Stainless blade RazoRock Plissoft brush TSD Iced Lemongrass SS Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe TSD 2X Mentholated Lemongrass A/S Pinaud Citrus Musk cologne Took the Contour off the shelf to see how it would work for me. In the past it had been to mild and the shaves I want just didn't come with it. But I love the look/feel of it so tried again. Surprise! It worked well and gave a close, comfortable shave.
