Friday's SE Shave Proraso Pre Shave Tabac Shaving Cream Jayaruh #217 Schick L1 Personna Stainless CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Lucky Tiger I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Tabac Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #217 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Schick L1 and a Personna Stainless blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

(Stirling Booster) September 14 - Medical Exception Shave Razor - Fatip Piccolo Blade - (4) Soap - Soap Commander Courage Brush - WCS Synthetic ASOD - Aqua Velva Musk Thanks to a temporary flare up of my pancreatic issues I decided to do an easy quick shave tonight. Pain levels are up, use of pain meds is up, not as sharp as I usually am (which, admittedly, isn't always that sharp anyway), so I grabbed the Fatip that is still loaded with a Sharp Star. Soap Commander and the West Coast Synthetic brush for a quick two pass without having to think. I'm happy to say I got a good DFS. Not so happy to say I bled a little. Ok, so maybe using the Fatip when I'm not exactly 100% in control of my faculties due to pain/medication was either just bad thinking or hubris. Either way, I survived to shave another day. Hopefully my Friday starts out with a little less pain to enjoy the AV Musk! Have a good night!
Nothing but incredibly satisfying shaves from the SEs I've used this month but it's time to move onto injectors. I used an oldie but goodie, the rarely seen Personna British Executive. It's been more than a year since I last shaved with it and I have the same two things to say about it. I've forgotten how incredibly smooth and aggressive this razor is. And, for some reason, the blade is way outlasting the normal life for me. I'll add a third observation. It almost seems like the blade is held even stiffer than others (don't know how that is possible) in the way it so easily and efficiently mows down the whiskers. Top rated razor for sure. Glad I pulled it out today. It felt like heaven to smell that awesome scent from the Glacial Spearmint soap while I was lathering up and the scent really filled the bathroom. Within seconds my face started to freeze from the intense menthol, and each pass felt colder than the previous one. I'm surprised at how the Astra blade is still holding up because it went the full three passes and I finished with a Dolphin Smooth shave. The matching balm is not only very cold as well, it feels moisturizing and soothing, but then again what else would you expect from Rod's stuff? A couple of splashes of the Alcolado Glacial and I'm ready for the heat that we'll be getting today! Wishing everyone a great weekend and great shaves!
