  1. So, what did you think of it?
  2. Takes a real long time to use a SR, right?
  3. I do a two pass shave in about 8-10 minutes with a straight. Takes about 100 shaves to master it.

  5. I don't want to post spoilers so I won't comment on specifics. Overall it felt a little flat like a grade school stage play with cardboard backgrounds. Just the first episode so the characters took on a bit of stereotypical "I've seen these aliens before" feeling. I have hope, but it won't be Firefly. I suspect like rewatching'66-'69 TOS episodes - a little fun, but nothing new.
  6. Is that where the cookies are? Cause the DE guys have been all talk about the cookies. I'm becoming a bit skeptical about the whole cookie thing. Maybe I'll have to bust out the straight.
  7. Only the dark side has cookies, don't believe those DE guys.
  8. @NCoxSTL - Neal, are the night's activities in Saint Louis anywhere near you?
  9. No. They are staying downtown/Central West End which is about 20-30 miles East of St. Charles.
  10. Smells like the Drug Store SEptember!!!! (Stirling Booster)

Razor - Schick M2 Adjustable Injector
    Blade - schickinjector.jpg (4)
    Soap - Stirling Barbershop
    Brush - 30DC LE
    ASOD - Old Spice

Feeling better and thought, well hey, why not give the M2 a few more shaves just to see how the blade holds up, eh? So, that's what we'll do. I'm almost out of the Stirling Barbershop sample but have enough for a few more shaves. Great lather with the LE and two passes and touch up got a very very nice DFS. Very smooth shave on the 4th go on the blade and no issues at all. A better shave than the Fatip last night, though my physical condition had a lot to do with that. I'll use the Old Spice in the morning on the way to work.

While all may be quiet in Colorado it is assuredly not so in STL tonight. Protests continue downtown, which is a fair distance from me so we won't see anything up close and personal. Just another night of celebrating the 1st amendment in the Lou!

With the Stirling Barbershop again I thought another old time shop would be nice. This one from Fairmont, North Carolina!

  12. You know what they say. After a long week of travel there's no place like hone. :happy102:
  13. Cool photo. I am afraid I would destroy the blades if I were to try honing.

  14. For a minute there, that jewelers loupe looked like a propeller. I was really looking forward to a shave report out of that one. How long until May again?

A great shave this morning to start the weekend. The "Soap Destroyer" loaded and lathered the MW Lilac easily. I am so glad that I split the Lilac soap with a buddy. While I enjoy the MW performance I can safely say that this scent will not make my "buy again" list. Having the extra time I set out to catch the baby and went with a modified 3 pass shave of XTG, ATG and XTG. I followed up with an extra pass on my lower right neck. I can safely say I caught the baby. A splash of Floid Blue and I am ready for a busy day. My wife and I are going to Bryson City, NC for the day to attend a HOA meeting. With the great weather it should make for a nice day in the mountains. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

Pulled out the 'Meatgrinder' for a weekend shave. SE is the only focus I kept to this morning, no Stirling, no Drug Store Cheap Stink. Had a little airier that usual lather with the Palmolive, but still had a workable lather and went to town carefully with what is, to me, my most aggressive razor. 3 1/2 passes later, am near BBS, but do have a few miniscule weepers. Overall, not bad.
Finished with the Reserve Spice as I've cycled through a bunch of Old Spicy products this week. No comparison, this is hands down the best smelling product of the bunch.
    Have a great weekend all!
