Tonight's shave was with a Rare Monkey Tail Razor. I had a nice 2 pass shave, that left me with a DFS. 2 small nicks, due to two ingrown hairs I didn't know about. Nice little razor. Razor- Bengall. Monkey Tail. Brush- Semogue 1800 Boar Soap- Stirling Glastonbury Aftershave- Arctic Blue.
Saturday's Straight/SE Shave Proraso Pre Shave Tabac Shaving Cream Jayaruh #217 Gold Dollar 6/8 Schick G Personna Stainless CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Lucky Tiger I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Tabac Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #217 synthetic brush. I did the first pass with the Gold Dollar 6/8 straight and finished with the Schick G and a Personna Stainless blade. I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Due to my recent move, it's been a couple of weeks since I last used a straight razor. Now that things have settled a bit, I took out the Kiebitz for this morning's shave. It was a three pass shave, supported by Williams mug soap, a recently acquired custom boar brush, a splash of witch hazel and followed up with some Skin Bracer. It was a wonderful shave and I'm mostly BBS. It's just what I needed after a long week!
Yamada "Beauty " 6/8 wonderful Saturday morning shave today. Jeeves bay rum soap, followed by special reserve as, and I'm ready for a sunny cool fall morning up here in West Michigan
Tonight's shave was with a fantastic Japanese Folding Kamisori. I had a very sharp and smooth 2 pass shave, that left me Samurai smooth. I had zero issues. This is a finely made, and heavy razor. Razor- Japanese Kamisori. "Suzuki No1". Asymmetrical grind, but I honed it Western style. This works out great. Brush- B400 By Tom(@twhite ). Boar hair. Soap- Stirling Glastonbury. Just finished the puck. I'm a fan of Stirling soaps, just not so much a fan of this one, for smell and lathering ability. Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. NOS Ships Bell Decanter.
Two epic shaves this weekend with gothic looking razors, Joe Edson and Rasupur, both western grind kamisori
I employed my Engstrom frameback for this morning's shave. It was three passes of ultimate goodness and I got a BBS shave to boot!
