From wild to mild, a tale of two great shaves. Both days got hot shower prep as well as sink hot water wash. Yesterday Razorock 400 Tampa Shave Company Mango Lime (bombed) Tampa Shave Company chrome shorty heavyweight Persona lab (1) white wrappers Tampa Shave Company Mango Lime aftershave lotion Today @GDCarrington restored Rubberset/custom two band finest Route 66 Cranberry Citrus (bombed) Gillette contract Tech Persona lab (2) white wrapper Route 66 Cranberry Citrus Botanical Balm The new Razor from Tampa Shave Company was used yesterday. I'll speak more on it as I process my impressions of it. For now let's just say it's heavy and aggressive. It left me very smooth but not very comfy. The Tampa Shave Company Mango Lime is a very nice scent. Today my Rubberset made great lather from Route 66 Cranberry Citrus. The mild Gillette left me equally smooth, but much more comfortable. I'm very happy with both shavers. Hope y'all did as well, or better.

SOTD 9.18.17 Pre-shave: Hot Shower then Shave Secret (not pictured) Brush: Omega Hi-Brush Cream: CO Bigelow Razor: Gem Micromatic bullet-tip Blade: Gem Stainless (2) Post Shave: Dickenson's Witch Hazel, Nivea Sensitive Shave Balm, Brut AS This was my first shave since last Friday so it gave me a good opportunity to try out the vintage bullet-tip Micromatic which I picked up last month. After my first pass I had so much stubble remaining on the neck I thought there was a problem with the razor or the blade or my technique. That first pass was very comfortable but maybe I had too much slick going on between the lather and the Shave Secret. I re-lathered and my second pass was equally comfortable but this time I could hear the blade as it cut through the remaining stubble. I had to do a third, clean-up pass on my throat which is normal and I achieved a CCS. I then moved on to a head shave and it was outstanding! Gotta love these SE Gems! Have a great week of shaves, my friends!

Tonight's shave was a total Face Freeze, celebrating the near end of the summer. I used a very nice Solingen razor. I had a smooth 2 pass shave, that left me with a near BBS finish. Zero issues. I can say, that the Soap was almost eye watering, but when I splashed on the aftershave, with extra Menthol Crystals added, the tears flowed for approx 5 minutes. It was a funny sight. Excellent razor. Razor- G.M.Mayer, "Blue Steel 101". New York. Made in Solingen Germany. Brush- B400 By Tom Soap- Stirling's, Glacial Margaritas in the Arctic. Aftershave- Fines Snakebite. With added menthol crystals, for an added kick, and Glycerin, to moisturize the face.
